Hyderabad: Abhimaan Deshpande of Sri Gayatri e-Techno School (Manikonda) and P. Karyasheel won the junior and open category titles, respectively, in the 241st Brilliant Trophy chess tournament held at Brilliant Grammar School, Dilsukhnagar, here.
In the junior category, Abhimaan Deshpande won the event by scoring six points out of six rounds, while Sreecharan and Ivaan Jain secured second and third places with five points each out of six rounds.
In the open category, P. Karyasheel won the event by scoring six points out of six rounds, while Sai Prudhvi finished second with 5.5 points and Dinesh Sai took third place with five points out of six rounds.
