Hyderabad: Suchitra Badminton Academy’s trainees Kimkim Khongsai and Liansangpuia have won the Gold Medal in the Mixed Doubles category at the Yonex-Sunrise All India Sub Junior (U-15) National Ranking Tournament
held in Hyderabad.

Seeded fourth in the tournament, the duo produced an outstanding performance throughout the week to emerge as National Ranking
Champions.

“Their journey to the title included victories over strong opposition, including a hard-fought semifinal win over the second-seeded pair
before clinching the championship with a commanding 21-10, 21-15 victory in the final,” said K. Pradeep Raju, Founder and Director of
the Academy.

“Behind this success lies a journey that began years ago in Manipur. The talent of Kimkim Khongsai and Liansangpuia was first identified by
us, long before either athlete had achieved recognition at the state level,” he said.

“Recognizing their potential at an early age, he facilitated their move into the academy’s high-performance training environment, where
they were provided with coaching, education support, accommodation, competition exposure, fitness training, and long-term athlete
development opportunities,” Pradeep said.

“Over the years, we have consistently worked towards creating opportunities for talented young players from different parts of
India, particularly those who may not otherwise have access to world-class infrastructure and professional guidance. His approach has
been centred on identifying promising athletes early, investing in their development, and providing them with the resources needed to
pursue excellence in sport,” Pradeep explained.

“The success of Kimkim and Liansangpuia reflects this long-term commitment to athlete development. Their national title is not only a
reward for their hard work and dedication but also a testament to the impact of sustained support, belief, and structured training. Today,
Suchitra Badminton Academy has become one of India’s leading centres for badminton development, producing national and international
players while continuing to nurture the next generation of champions,”
he said.
