Revanth Reddy Government wakes up from slumber only after BRS exposes its failures, says Sravan

Hyderabad: In a scathing attack on the Congress government, BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan charged that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy had completely surrendered administrative responsibility and accountability and was functioning as a “reactionary government” operating only under pressure from BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao. He said that whenever the BRS chief conducted a public meeting and raised farmers’ distress, the Congress government released Rythu Bharosa, and when BRS leaders protested over procurement failures, Collectors rushed to complete paddy procurement.

Sravan said that when the BRS announced a Padayatra to protect the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme, the Chief Minister immediately conducted a review meeting. “This is not governance. This is mediocre political panic management,” Sravan remarked. He alleged that the Congress government lacked administrative seriousness, proactive vision and commitment towards Telangana.

“Every decision comes only after BRS chief K Chandrashekhar Rao exposes the Congress government’s failures. If BRS stops speaking for one week, this government may go into administrative coma,” Sravan said. The BRS MLC stated that despite being in the opposition, the BRS continued to dictate the political and governance agenda of Telangana. This was mainly due to the Congress government’s failure to demonstrate leadership, preparedness or seriousness on core public issues, he stressed.

He alleged that the Revanth Reddy government had become completely dependent on media management, diversion politics, publicity gimmicks and reactive administration.

On the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation issue, Sravan said the government remained silent for months while uncertainty surrounded the irrigation project. But the moment the BRS announced a people’s movement and Padayatra, the Chief Minister was forced into emergency review mode, he added.
