Carpenter arrested for stealing Rs 7.7 lakh from house under renovation in Hyderabad

Narayanguda police arrested a 19-year-old carpenter within 36 hours of a house burglary and recovered Rs 7.7 lakh stolen from a house under renovation. The suspect was traced using CCTV footage and arrested at Old Bowenpally.

Carpenter arrested for stealing Rs 7.7 lakh from house under renovation in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Narayanguda police arrested a carpenter within 36 hours of a house burglary and recovered the entire stolen cash of Rs 7.7 lakh.

The suspect, Deepesh Khati (19), allegedly stole the money from a house under renovation in Narayanguda on June 30. The cash had been kept inside handbags stored in a bedroom almirah by the complainant, Amit Agarwal.


Following a complaint, the police analysed the CCTV footage, traced and nabbed the suspect. He was arrested at Old Bowenpally, and the stolen money was recovered.
