Two held for smuggling spurious cotton seeds in Asifabad

Kumram Bheem Asifabad police arrested two men for smuggling spurious cotton seeds in Sirpur (U) mandal. Over 5 quintals of seeds were seized from their possession, which were stored at one of the accused’s residences.

Two held for smuggling spurious cotton seeds in Asifabad

Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Two persons were arrested on charges of smuggling spurious cotton seeds in Sirpur (U) mandal on Friday. Police seized 5.42 quintals of seeds from the duo.

Police said that Mangunath, a trader hailing from Madhya Pradesh, but settled in Indervelli and Naitham Jangu, a mason from Sirpur (U) were apprehended for possessing the seeds. The two were found to have stored the spurious seeds at Jangu’s residence during a search.
