Hyderabad’s food trucks redefine casual dining with late-night flavours and artisanal menus

Hyderabad: After a long day at work, the last thing anyone wants is a restaurant waiting list or a fully booked reservation. That is exactly why Hyderabad’s food trucks are becoming the city’s go-to dinner plan. Parked across busy streets and buzzing food lanes, these moving kitchens are serving everything from cheesy pasta and spicy starters to wood-fired pizzas and desserts, offering restaurant-style food without the hassle of formal dining.

What was once limited to quick roadside snacks has now turned into a full-fledged food culture. Across the city, food trucks are drawing loyal customers with fresh menus, affordable prices and comfort food that feels perfect for casual dinners and late-night cravings alike.

Many of these spots have now become regular hangout destinations for students, office-goers and food lovers looking for something quick, indulgent and different from traditional dine-in experiences.

Salsa Food Truck

Located opposite the Secretariat near Tank Bund, Salsa Food Truck is one of the busiest food truck spots in the city. Packed almost every night from 9 pm to 1 am, the truck has become popular for its bandi-style Chinese food, creamy pasta and flavour-packed Maggi bowls. Their spicy starters are among the most ordered dishes, while waffles and brownies make for a quick dessert stop after dinner. With dishes starting around Rs. 80, it has become a favourite for affordable late-night comfort food.

ABCD Food Truck

Fresh ingredients and made-from-scratch food are what make ABCD Food Truck stand out at the ITC street food lane. Open from 6 pm till midnight, the truck focuses on comfort food favourites like fries, crispy chicken drumsticks, popcorn chicken and loaded fries in multiple flavours. Their ABCD signature salad is considered a must-try by regular visitors, while desserts like brownies and ice cream complete the experience. Unlike many quick-service spots, the truck prides itself on avoiding packaged items and preparing everything fresh in-house.

Proof’d Pizza

For those craving artisanal pizza, Proof’d Pizza has become a go-to destination in Bachupally. Open from 1 pm to 10 pm, the trailer-style food truck serves sourdough Neapolitan wood-fired pizzas starting at Rs. 229, with options ranging from exotic vegetable pizzas to bold flavours like pineapple and bhut jolokia pizza. Alongside pasta, the menu also features desserts including cheesecake, tiramisu, creme brulee and churros, giving visitors the feel of a complete dine-out experience from a food truck.
