Telangana continues to face an intense heatwave, with Munagala in Suryapet district recording 46.5°C for the second day in a row. Hyderabad too witnessed soaring temperatures, with Karwan touching 43.4°C, while several rural districts reported even higher readings.

Hyderabad: Telangana is caught in the unrelenting grip of a severe heatwave, which for the second consecutive day touched 46.5 degrees Celsius in Munagala, Suryapet on Thursday, according to Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS) data.
The State’s capital too felt the brunt of the heatwave as Karwan recorded the city’s highest reading at 43.4 degrees Celsius, between 8.30 am and 4.30 pm on Thursday. The weather data from TSDPS and independent weather trackers confirmed that rural districts are bearing the brunt of the heatwave.
