The Supreme Court on Monday stayed tree felling in the eco-sensitive zone around Hyderabad’s KBR Park and issued notice on a plea challenging tree cutting linked to road development under the H-CITI project. The interim order was passed by a two-judge bench.

Supreme Court stays tree felling around Hyderabad’s KBR Park

Hyderabad: The Supreme Court of India on Monday issued a stay on tree felling in the eco-sensitive zone surrounding the KBR Park in Hyderabad.

The apex court also issued a notice on the plea challenging the move to cut trees around the park for road development under the H-CITI project.


According to livelaw.in, a bench comprising Justice BV Nagarathna and Justice Ujjal Bhuyan passed the interim direction.
