Six missing after US strikes Iranian ships near Oman

Governor Foad Moradzadeh said the attack targeted six vessels belonging to residents of Bandar Moallem with 20 people on board. Six crew members were wounded and taken to the hospital in Khasab, Oman, where their condition was reported stable.

The remaining passengers returned safely, the governor added, without specifying the fate of the six missing.

The incident comes amid sharply heightened tensions in and around the Strait of Hormuz.
