Adilabad: A trader, Mohammed Rafeeq, was arrested on charges of duping farmers by not paying them for the cotton he purchased. Police said the trader from Barampur deceived three farmers by refusing to pay for the cotton procured from them and also cheated a youngster under the guise of providing jobs.
A case was registered against Rafeeq and investigations were taken up. The farmers were identified as B Mallesh, B Veeraiah and B Pothanna from Adilabad Rural and Thalamadugu mandals.
