A Hyderabad court sentenced a man to six days’ simple imprisonment for allegedly creating a public nuisance and threatening a family after a marriage proposal was called off in Falaknuma. Police said he also attempted to assault family members and threatened suicide.

Hyderabad: A local court awarded a six-day jail term to a man for allegedly creating a public nuisance and threatening a family after a marriage proposal was called off in Falaknuma.
According to the police, Shaik Raheem created a disturbance at a residence in Teegala Kunta after a marriage proposal involving the family’s daughter was called off following adverse background information about him.
The police said Raheem allegedly threatened to commit suicide by jumping from the terrace and falsely implicate the family. He also allegedly attempted to assault family members, including the woman whose marriage proposal had been called off.
Based on the allegations, the Falaknuma police registered a case. Raheem was produced before a local court, which sentenced him to six days’ simple imprisonment.
