Hyderabad: Hyderabad is set to experience a day of extreme weather contrasts on Tuesday, as the public continue to grapple with the surge in mercury levels.
The Tuesday morning Hyderabad forecast from India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad has indicated a maximum temperature of 41 degree Celsius across the city.
With the minimum temperature hovering around 28 degree Celsius, the lack of nighttime cooling is likely to add to the overall summer heat of Hyderabad.
While temperatures will cross 40 degree Celsius all through the day, the evening might see some volatile weather activity. The local forecast for Hyderabad from the weather department has indicated that by evening or night, parts of Hyderabad will experience partly cloudy sky with a high probability of light rain and thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds.
The gusty surface winds, blowing from the South-West, could reach speeds of 30-40 kmph at some places. The combination of high heat and sudden atmospheric instability suggests that some areas might receive brief relief from the dry heat but could pose difficulties to commuters and outdoor activities.
Public health and IMD officials have advised residents to stay hydrated and take necessary precautions against heat exhaustion, particularly during the afternoon window before the forecasted evening thunderstorms become active.
