A domestic dispute in Sangareddy turned fatal after a man allegedly killed his wife with a pestle and later died by suicide. The incident in Siddhpur village left the couple’s children orphaned, with police launching an investigation.

Sangareddy: A domestic quarrel between a man and his wife escalated into a tragedy after the man bludgeoned his wife to death and later died by suicide in Siddhpur village on Friday night, police said.
It was not known what caused the verbal quarrel leading to the double tragedy, but the man Jeevaratnam attacked his wife Rani with a pestle while she was in deep sleep. Hours later he appeared to have hanged himself to a tree on the village outskirts. The couple’s death left the entire village stunned and their children orphaned.
The police registered a case and the probe was on. The bodies were taken to the government hospital in Sadasivapet for postmortem.
