A 41-year-old farmer died after suffering an electric shock from a damaged cable while grazing cattle in Lingapur village of Narsapur mandal. He was rushed to hospital but was declared brought dead. Police have registered a case

Farmer dies of electric shock while grazing cattle in Medak

Medak: Touching an electric wire cost the life of a farmer as the cable wire’s sleeve was damaged at Lingapur in Narsapur mandal. The farmer, Devasoth Shankar (41), was grazing his cattle at another farmer Pandu’s field on the outskirts of the village on Friday.

After noticing the cable in the cattle grazing area, he tried to remove it and keep it safely, unaware that its sleeve was damaged. Shankar, who suffered a severe electric shock immediately after touching the cable, fell unconscious.


The locals rushed him to the area hospital in Narsapur, where doctors declared him brought dead. He is survived by his wife and three children. The police registered a case.
