Former Madhya Pradesh DGP B. Maria Kumar’s psychological thriller Love Reigns When Fate Falters was launched in Hyderabad on Sunday.

Hyderabad: A psychological thriller, ‘Love Reigns When Fate Falters’, authored by B. Maria Kumar, former Director General of Police (DGP), Madhya Pradesh, was released on Sunday, at Columbus Coffee, Punjagutta, Hyderabad.
Hyderabad-based ethnic wear designer and blogger B. Vijayalakshmi, unveiled the book, amidst a gathering of literary enthusiasts and book lovers.
Present on the occasion were eminent administrators and intellectuals who reflected on various aspects of the novel, including its storyline, metaphysical undertones, and psychosocial dynamics, a press release said.
In his address, A. Dinakar Babu, former senior IAS officer, observed that the novel is unique in that it explores the quiet spaces of human life where emotions remain unspoken, decisions are difficult.
Former Indian Railway Traffic Service officer N. Bhupal Raju remarked that the novel examines the delicate balance between the choices people make and the realities that subsequently unfold.
Dr. Syed Sayeed, former Professor of Philosophy, EFLU, reflected at length on the inner lives of the characters, who appear composed outwardly yet carry within them unspoken thoughts, memories, and uncertainties.
P. E. Prasad, former CGM of Central Warehousing Corporation said that the novel is not merely about love as an emotion, but about love as a guiding force that persists even when circumstances become uncertain.
Prof. Vikas Singh of the Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi, presented a review of the novel, highlighting how human lives are shaped not only by visible events but also by unseen emotional journeys.
Dr. Kishore Kumar Bandreddy, a renowned teaching professional, encouraged readers to reflect on the nature of human relationships and the complexities involved in navigating them meaningfully, the release added.
