The Daesh terrorist group has threatened to target the stadiums hosting the first leg of the quarterfinals of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Champions League.

A media outlet responsible for spreading Daesh messages shared an image threatening to attack the Emirates Stadium in London, the Parc des Princes in Paris, as well as the Santiago Bernabeu and the Metropolitano Stadium both in Madrid, with a message reading, “Kill them all’.

On Tuesday, Real Madrid will play against Manchester City at the Santiago Bernabeu, while Arsenal will face Bayern Munich at the Emirates Stadium.

On Wednesday, Atletico Madrid will play against Borussia Dortmund at the Metropolitano Stadium, and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) will host Barcelona at the Parc des Princes.

In 2014, Daesh captured large swathes of land in Iraq and Syria in lightning attacks, declaring the areas it controlled as “caliphate.”

However, Iraqi and Syrian forces, with the help of Iran, managed to reverse Daesh’s gains and ultimately liberate their countries from the US-sponsored terror outfit some three years later.

Still, Daesh’s remnants keep staging sporadic attacks in different countries.

Last month, Daesh claimed responsibility for an attack on a Moscow concert hall that killed 145 people.
