The Russian Defense Ministry announced that these people were killed during the attack by Russian Air Force fighters in the provinces of Aleppo and Idlib.

The terrorists claimed that 23 people were killed and wounded in the Russian attack on the city of Idlib.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also confirmed that four people were killed and 19 others were injured in these attacks.

ICC prosecutor rejects Israeli appeal of arrest warrants for Netanyahu

The prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) says Israel’s attempt to suspend arrest warrants for prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former minister of military affairs Yoav Gallant should be dismissed and the appeal proceedings halted.

In a document posted on the ICC website, Karim Khan urged the Appeals Chamber of The Hague-based tribunal to turn down the Tel Aviv regime’s request, emphasizing it doesn’t meet the legal conditions required under ICC rules.

He noted that the decision Israel is challenging doesn’t involve “admissibility,” a key requirement for such appeals, but instead addresses procedural complaints about the investigation.

Khan said the decision tells Israel that it cannot file a challenge to jurisdiction before the court has made a decision under Article 58 of the Rome Statute; but also holds that such a challenge could potentially be made once that condition is satisfied.

“The decision is not a decision ‘with respect to jurisdiction’ and it is therefore not directly appealable under Article 82(1)(a) of the Statute,” he said.

“Accordingly, these appeal proceedings should be discontinued and Israel’s Suspension Request be rejected while the proceedings before Pre-Trial Chamber with respect to the same Decision follow their course.

“In any event, there is no legal basis to suspend the arrest warrants issued by the Pre-Trial Chamber,” the prosecutor stated.

Earlier this week, Israel filed a direct appeal to the Appeals Chamber, alleging that the investigation and arrest warrants were procedurally flawed.

It also demanded a suspension of the warrants while the appeal is resolved. At the same time, Israel filed an appeal with the Pre-Trial Chamber, which issued the warrants.

Last week, the ICC issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

According to ICC regulations, The Hague-based court does not conduct trials in absentia, and the defendants must be physically present in order for the case to begin.

As the tribunal has no police to enforce its warrants, it depends on its member states to implement its orders.

The White House has rejected the ICC warrants for both Netanyahu and Gallant.

Backed by the United States and its Western allies, Israel launched the war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, after the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas carried out Operation Al-Aqsa Flood against the Israeli regime in response to the occupying entity’s decades-long campaign of bloodletting and devastation against Palestinians.

The regime’s bloody onslaught on Gaza has so far killed 44,363 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured 105,070 others. Thousands more are also missing and presumed dead under rubble.

Aleppo has not fallen to terrorists: Envoy

Mojtaba Amani dismissed on Friday rumors circulating on social media that the terrorists have captured Aleppo, attributing such claims to a “cyber army” spreading false information.

“If the terrorists think they can repeat the events of the early 2010s in Aleppo, they are mistaken,” he said. “The Syrian government is now stronger, and the Russian government is more determined to defend Syria. The Resistance Front and Iran also continue to support the Syrian government and its people.”

He explained that terrorist groups in Syria believed the war against the Zionist regime had weakened the Resistance Front and Hezbollah.

“The terrorists think they can succeed at this stage, but I doubt they will even secure a relative victory,” Amani said.

He also highlighted US collaboration with the terrorist groups, saying, “In recent years, the US has supplied them with new weapons, and Turkey’s borders have remained open to them. Currently, the Syrian army is directly engaged with these groups and has somewhat managed to stop their advances.”

The Iranian ambassador added that the developments will likely strengthen the Syrian government’s resolve to eliminate the presence of terrorist groups in some of the Arab country’s regions.

On Wednesday, the terrorists launched a large-scale attack in Aleppo and Idlib provinces in the northwest of Syria.

The Syrian military announced on Friday that its forces had managed to kill and injure hundreds of the terrorists during defensive and retaliatory operations in the Arab country’s north.

Amani also said that these developments would likely strengthen the Syrian Government’s resolve to eliminate terror groups in certain regions, adding that probably, Syria would probably no longer trust previous agreements, such as the one between Russia and Turkiye.

Oxford Union declares Israel ‘apartheid’ regime committing ‘genocide’

The Oxford Union has voted that the “apartheid” Israeli regime is “responsible for genocide” of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli regime launched a war on the people in Gaza on October 7, 2023, following a retaliatory operation by the Palestinians.

Since then, it has killed at least 44,363 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured 105,070 others, forcing almost the entire population of the Palestinian territory to flee their homes.

The student debating society, founded in 1823 in Oxford, England, voted on the motion after a heated debate between speakers from pro-Palestinian groups and Israeli supporters.

The Oxford Union held the unprecedented debate on Thursday night on the motion: “This house believes Israel is an apartheid state responsible for genocide.” The motion was carried with an overwhelming majority of 278 to 59.

One pro-Israeli speaker, Yoseph Haddad, was even told to leave the chamber for lack of decorum after calling the audience “terrorist supporters” when he was heckled during his speech.

The speakers in favor of the motion included Union President Ebrahim Osman Mowafy, Israeli-American activist and author Miko Peled, Palestinian poet Mohammed El-Kurd and prominent writer Susan Abulhawa.

Peled described the October 7 operation as “heroic”. According to Oxford University’s student newspaper, Cherwell, he described Operation al-Aqsa Floiod as “acts of heroism of a people who were oppressed.”

Osman-Mowafy, who stood in for prominent American academic Norman Finkelstein that could not come, spoke about 19-year-old Shaban al-Daloum, who was burnt alive in an Israeli airstrike on a Gaza hospital, describing the death as part of the Israeli committed “holocaust” against Gazans.

The Oxford Union debate comes days after the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former minister of military affairs Yoav Gallant over the genocide against Palestinians.

Susan Akram, director of the International Human Rights Clinic at Boston University School of Law, stressed the role that civil society needed to play to mount pressure on Tel Aviv to end the war.

“Public opinion and civil society have a huge role to play in pressuring their governments to comply with the ICC. In fact, civil society has already played a significant role in submitting evidence to both the ICC and ICJ that has contributed to both courts’ decisions and orders,” Akram said.

The regime’s bloody onslaught on Gaza has so far killed 44,363 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured 105,070 others.

Moreover, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the strip.

The Israelis have also been committing war crimes such as starving the population and intentionally directing attacks against the civilian population in the besieged territory.

Namibia does not let ship carrying arms for Israel dock

MV Kathrin sailing from Vietnam refused permission to dock in Walvis Bay, Ynet news said.

The report added that Namibian justice minister says her country complies with obligation not to support or be complicit in Israeli war crimes.

In a statement, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance movement Hamas praised Namibia’s in preventing the docking of a ship carrying weapons for the Zionist occupation regime.

Iran urges UNSC to condemn Israel's malevolent activities

Iran’s Envoy and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Amir Saeed Iravani made the remarks on Wednesday at a UN Security Council meeting on the situation in Syria.

The full text of his speech is as follows,

Thank you, Mr. President.

As this is our first address of the month, we congratulate Sierra Leone on its presidency of the Council and commend its successful leadership so far.

We thank Mr. Pederson, the Special Envoy, and Ms. Msuya, the Acting Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, for their insightful briefings.

Mr. President,

The humanitarian situation in Syria remains dire and the Syrian people continue to suffer severe economic hardships.

The politicization of humanitarian aid and the obstruction of international support for Syria’s reconstruction largely driven by the U.S. and its Western allies have prolonged the conflict and intensified the suffering of the Syrian people.

Additionally, the U.S. continues to use inhumane unilateral sanctions as a tool for the collective punishment of the Syrian population. These illegal actions impose unnecessary hardships and hinder Syria’s recovery.

We reiterate our call for the immediate removal of these harmful measures. They must be lifted, both as a legal obligation and a moral imperative.

Similarly, providing impartial and non-politicized humanitarian aid to all regions of Syria is crucial to save lives.

Early recovery projects should be prioritized to offer comprehensive support and help communities rebuild and strengthen their resilience.

Facilitating Syria’s reconstruction and ensuring the safe return of refugees and IDPs to their original places of residence must be integral to any comprehensive solution to the current conflict in Syria.

The interests of millions of Syrian refugees should not be manipulated for political purposes by certain countries.

Delaying their return only prolongs their suffering and places an undue burden on neighboring countries.

Iran welcomes the Syrian government’s decision to extend UN access to the Bab Al Salam and Al Ray crossings for an additional three months, until 13 November, as well as the extension of access to the Bab al-Hawa crossing for an additional six months, implemented last month.

Mr. President,

We strongly condemn Israel’s ongoing aggression against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria, targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure as well as its continued occupation of the Syrian Golan.

Israel’s malicious activities in the region pose a serious threat to international peace and security.

With ironclad support from the United States and the political support of the UK, the occupying regime of Israel continues its daily atrocities and systematic war crimes against the people of Palestine in Gaza and the West Bank and violates the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Lebanon with full impunity.

The Security Council must condemn unequivocally the rough regime of Israel for its malevolent activities in the region and take decisive action to force this terrorist regime to end its occupation of the Syrian Golan, cease all acts of aggression and acts of terrorism against Syria and Lebanon, and stop the ongoing genocidal war against the Palestinian people.

Mr. President,

We share the view expressed by the representative of the Syrian Arab Republic that any political solution must include ending the illegal presence of U.S. forces, halting their exploitation of Syrian resources, and stopping their support for terrorist groups and militias.

The recent attacks and violence committed by U.S.-backed militias and terrorist groups against innocent civilians in Deirez-Zor, Al-Hasakah, and other areas in the eastern and northeastern regions are alarming.

Mr. President,

Iran is committed to a political resolution of the Syrian crisis. We support the efforts of the Special Envoy and commend his active engagement with all parties involved in resolving the conflict.

Iran strongly advocates for the prompt resumption of the Constitutional Committee meetings and supports efforts to hold the ninth round of constitutional discussions in Baghdad, Iraq, as this option has gained support from most parties.

Furthermore, Iran, along with its Astana format partners, Russia and Turkiye, remains dedicated to achieving long-term normalization in Syria.

In this context, we fully support the resumption of Syrian-Turkish dialogue, recognizing its importance in these broader efforts.

In conclusion, Mr. President, I would like to highlight the responsibility of the United States for the current situation in Syria and the region,

The illegal presence of U.S. forces is the primary source of instability and insecurity in Syria, providing cover for terrorist groups to strengthen their positions and commit further atrocities.

It violates Syria’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, international law, the UN Charter, and Security Council resolutions, including Resolution 2254 (2015).

The claim of fighting terrorism cannot, in any way, justify these egregious violations.

Yet, instead of taking concrete action to stop these severe violations, the United States continues its violations and at the same time, stands by Israel and actively provides it with substantial military, intelligence, financial support, and diplomatic cover to continue its atrocious crimes against other nations of the region.

Iran's response to Israel to be 'calculated'

The chief of staff of Iran’s armed forces has reiterated the country’s intention to give a “calculated” response to the Israeli assassination of late Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.

Major General Mohammad Bagheri made the remarks on Wednesday in reference to the much-anticipated retaliation for the Israeli assassination of Haniyeh, which occurred in Tehran in late July.

General Bagheri said the Israeli regime is now in a precarious situation and is ready to commit any act of atrocity following the October 7 attacks by the Hamas Resistance movement, as it sees itself on the verge of collapse, PressTV reported.

“Today we witness the crisis situation in the region following the Al-Aqsa storm and the Zionist regime is worried over its existence and is in dangerous conditions, so it won’t spare any criminal move to continue its shameful life.”

On the US role in the region, General Bagheri said the US power is certainly not comparable to five years ago, as the regime is on the decline and is struggling to restore its power.

In his remarks, the general also said Iran’s armed forces have a very crucial responsibility to boost military preparedness and they should not waste a second in improving rapid response capabilities, strengthening infrastructures, and increasing the quality of products.

Ismail Haniyeh and one of his bodyguards were martyred after their residence was targeted in Tehran on July 31, according to a statement released by the IRGC.

Issuing a statement, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said that the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh was “designed and implemented by the Zionist regime and supported by the criminal government of America.”

Reacting to the Israeli act of terror, high-ranking Iranian officials vowed to give a proper response to the Zionist regime, with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei saying, that by assassinating Ismail Haniyeh, the Israeli regime has prepared the ground for harsh punishment for itself.
