Hamas condemns Israel’s brutal crime against civilians

The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has condemned the brutal crime of Israel’s attacks on two residential buildings in northern Gaza that killed at least 75 people.

Hamas said in a statement on Friday that most of the victims of the attacks in Beit Lahia were women and children.

The group said medical teams were unable to reach the affected area as Israel continued to bar them from entering the battered north.

Israel has besieged the area since 50 days ago amid a vicious bombing campaign against civilian structures.

“The Zionist enemy continues its brutal war of genocide in the northern Gaza Strip, which it began fifty-two days ago, under a complete criminal siege and a complete ban on the entry of any of the necessities of life, such as food, water or medicine,” Hamas said.

The group said that the Israeli regime “targets defenseless civilians and civilian facilities, especially hospitals, and kills doctors, paramedics and civil defense personnel, and prevents access to the wounded to treat them in the most heinous crime of ethnic cleansing known to modern history.”

“We call on the international community, the United Nations and its institutions to break the siege on the northern Gaza Strip, allow relief, ambulance and rescue teams to enter, and stop the systematic campaign of extermination carried out by the Zionist occupation army and the war criminals among the occupation leaders against defenseless civilians, through brutal massacres, ethnic cleansing, and a systematic criminal starvation operation proven by reports from international institutions,” Hamas said.

On Friday, Israeli strikes also killed three in a separate attack in the north and leveled residential buildings in Rafah in the south.

The Israeli genocide has killed over 44,360 civilians since October 2023. The onslaught has injured over 105,000 others.

Syrian army eliminates hundreds of terrorists

“Our armed forces have inflicted heavy losses on the attacking units. Hundreds of terrorists have been either killed or wounded. Dozens of their armored and combat vehicles have been destroyed, 17 drones have been shot down,” it said in a statement posted on the Syrian defense ministry’s Facebook account, TASS reported.

“Our army continues reinforcing its positions with manpower and weapons to prevent possible breakthroughs by terrorists and repel their attacks. Our forces have regained control over several sections where [the enemy] made breakthroughs in recent hours and they will continue combat operations until they are rebuffed,” the command said.

The Syrian army command reported on November 28 that units of the Jabhat al-Nusra extremist group had staged a large-scale attack on Syria’s northern governorates the day prior. The terrorists attempted to seize a number of neighborhoods and military facilities and attacked the positions of government forces.

Later, the Al Mayadeen television channel said that the Syrian army had launched a counteroffensive on the militants’ positions after they seized 20 settlements to the north and west of the city of Aleppo.

South Africa's anti-Apartheid effort to isolate Israel

A coalition of high-profile individuals from across the world has launched the South African chapter of the anti-Apartheid movement against Israel.

After its inaugural international conference held in May in Johannesburg, South Africa, the anti-apartheid movement against Israel has now kick-started a new global effort designed to alienate the Zionist entity from the civilized world.

The initiative saw the participation of government representatives, activists, lawyers and civil groups from around the world.

Marking the launch, South Africa’s Minister of International Relations, Ronald Lamola, noted that Israel must be stopped.

This is not only the murder and the massacre of people, but genocide at a massive scale, of unimaginable proportion, happening in the full view of all of us, hence we are really encouraged by this movement that is starting today, because you are going to shine the spotlight, you will coordinate and help the international community.

Minister of International Relations, Ronald Lamola

The Reverend Frank Chikane, a coordinator of the global anti-apartheid movement, highlighted the fact that Israel upholds two principles that have caused extensive suffering throughout the world; racism and colonial thinking.

He also held Western powers to account for the continued supply of arms to Israel, which enabled its brutal aggression. But countries like South Africa have also not done enough.

Activists say the government has dragged its feet in prosecuting South Africans who are on active duty in the Israeli occupation’s military machine, despite countless cases being filed with the prosecuting authority.

Whilst we applaud the actions taken by our government In the ICJ case, we must look at the issues right here at home, we must ask the question as to, why are these criminals still walking free on our shores.

Why have they not been arrested?

Why has action not been taken?

Zwelivelile “Mandla” Mandela, Grandson of Nelson Mandela

At the international level, Mandela has added his voice to calls for the suspension of the Zionist regime from the United Nations.

The Anti-Apartheid Movement against Israel was inspired by the Al-Aqsa flood operation, which triggered a global awakening about the Palestinian struggle for liberation.

This coordinated campaign will now see the emergence of sister movements in countries around the world, which will pressure governments and international bodies to isolate Israel, just as it did with the South African apartheid regime.

Riyadh ‘urgently’ seeking to boost ties with Tehran: Report

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is “urgently” looking to strengthen ties with Iran before US President-elect Donald Trump returns to the White House, according to a report.

The New York-headquartered news agency, Bloomberg, citing people with knowledge of the kingdom’s moves, said bin Salman had made an “offer of increased trade” to Iranian officials in recent weeks in the hope of ratcheting down tension with the West.

The offer would build on a March 2023 Chinese-brokered rapprochement between the two countries as Tehran and Riyadh are pushing to forge closer ties amid escalated tensions in the region, Bloomberg added.

The news agency said it was unclear what bin Salman had offered to Iran, but a person who worked on the 2023 detente between the two sides said trade could initially focus on products in the food and medical sectors that would not breach European and US sanctions against Tehran.

The news agency pointed to Trump’s victory in the US election earlier in the month and the prospect of a renewal of the West Asia policies introduced in his first term, which may include his maximum pressure campaign against the Islamic Republic.

The Saudi crown prince was said to have sent National Security Adviser Musaad al-Aiban to Washington last month for talks before President Joe Biden leaves office in January.

“The Saudis see the dual-channel approach of closer ties with both Washington and Tehran as vital geopolitically, though it could leave the kingdom in an awkward spot,” the news agency said.

“Prince Mohammed’s top priority is his trillion-dollar plan to diversify the kingdom’s economy away from oil. The agenda, known as Vision 2030, relies on peace as well as foreign investment to help fund its ambitious mega-projects.”

Speaking at the annual investment conference in Riyadh late October, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan said his primary mandate was to protect Vision 2030 and further its advancement.

Bloomberg also touched on the Iranian officials’ concerns that Saudi trade and investment pledges under what was known as the Beijing Agreement had not materialized.

China, which is the biggest buyer of oil from both countries, has been urging Riyadh and Tehran to buttress their rapprochement, said Dina Esfandiary, senior adviser for the Middle East and North Africa at the International Crisis Group.

“It’s a pretty simple, noncontroversial way for Riyadh to demonstrate its commitment to the new dialogue with Tehran,” she said.

Reports said a Saudi-Chinese-Iranian committee following up on the accord held a second meeting in Riyadh on November 19, reaffirming commitment to the pact.

In a statement, the parties touted the nearly 140,000 Iranian pilgrims that have visited the Islamic holy sites in Saudi Arabia this year as a sign of closer ties, along with things like the Iranian exhibition in Riyadh.

Iran and Saudi Arabia resumed relations following a seven-year hiatus under a Beijing-mediated deal in March 2023, which saw the two sides re-open diplomatic missions.

As part of a joint statement issued by the two sides, Tehran and Riyadh highlighted the need to respect each others’ national sovereignty and refrain from interfering in the internal affairs of one another.

They also agreed to implement a security cooperation agreement signed in April 2001 and another accord reached in May 1998 to boost economic, commercial, investment, technical, scientific, cultural, sports, and youth affairs cooperation.

Palestine calls for meeting of Arab League over Israeli massacres

Palestine has called for an emergency meeting of the Arab League over Israeli massacres in Beit Lahia, in the northern Gaza Strip.

In a statement, the Palestinian Presidency on Friday called for a meeting of Arab foreign ministers after the Israeli army killed nearly 100 Palestinians in northern Gaza in just 24 hours.

The statement, cited by the official Wafa news agency, warned against what it called starvation warfare against Palestinians in Northern Gaza.

The statement called on the Arab League “to hold an emergency meeting at the level of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs given the ongoing Israeli genocidal aggression, forced displacement, and starvation of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.”

It cited Israel’s policy of separating the north from the rest of the Strip as it deploys “starvation as a method of warfare against Palestinians to displace them from their lands and houses.”

It also called on the international community to intervene urgently and end Israeli onslaught on Gaza.

Palestinians are facing diminishing conditions for survival in northern Gaza under siege by Israeli forces.

The regime has prevented virtually any aid from delivering to the area.

The chief of the World Health Organization says 90 percent of people in the coastal enclave are now living in tents, leaving them “vulnerable to respiratory and other diseases, food insecurity and malnutrition as winter approaches.”

“The ultimate solution to this suffering is not aid but peace,” said Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor has raised alarms about the worsening humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, warning that Israel’s severe limitations on essential goods are intensifying the suffering of nearly two million displaced Palestinians amid cold weather.

The Geneva-based organization stated on Wednesday, criticizing Israel for restricting the flow of essential goods such as clothing, blankets, and shoes, which the NGO said is aimed at imposing dire living conditions on the Palestinian population that will ultimately lead to their destruction as part of a broader genocidal campaign in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli genocide has killed over 44,360 civilians since October 2023. The onslaught has injured over 105,000 others.

Liberating Palestine most important battle facing humanity

Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro said Friday that the “liberation” of Palestine is the “most important” battle facing humanity, and he assured that the South American country will do “everything possible” to ensure that solidarity is expressed in “concrete terms.”

“We are deeply saddened by the crimes committed daily against the children, women and men of Palestine, the sacred land of all, which today suffers a living genocide,” the head of state said on Telegram.

In a message shared on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, Maduro reaffirmed the “firm and historic” position of the Chavista Executive against the extermination policy carried out by the Zionist regime.

“I am not exaggerating when I say that defending Palestine and its right to life, independence and existence is defending the right to existence of Venezuela, Latin America and the Caribbean. It is a crucial battle between fascism, colonialism in its new forms, Zionism, and the right to a new society, to decorum and cultural diversity,” said Iran’s ally in Latin America.
