Hezbollah targets Zionists' positions (+VIDEO)

Three positions of the Israeli regime were targeted in the occupied Shebaa Farms inside Lebanon with the aim of liberating the rest of the occupied territories of the country and in solidarity with the Palestinian Resistance and nation, Hezbollah said in a statement on Sunday morning.

The three Zionists’ positions were directly targeted using a large number of mortars and pinpoint missiles, the statement added.

Zionist media reported that the Hezbollah attack caused a great amount of damage.

Moments later, the Israeli regime’s military claimed that it had targeted several Hezbollah infrastructures with a drone.

The operation comes after the Palestinian Resistance fighters staged a surprise, large-scale operation early Saturday in response to the desecration of al-Aqsa Mosque and increased settler violence.

Reports say at least 200 Zionists have been killed and over 1,100 injured as a result of the surprise Palestinian offensive that was launched on Saturday. The operation combined fighters crossing the fence into Israeli-occupied cities with a heavy barrage of rockets from the besieged Gaza Strip.

In response to the Palestinians’ operation, the Israeli regime carried out heavy bombardment across the besieged Gaza Strip which according to Palestinian medical authorities killed nearly 200 people and injured 1,610 others.

Fresh Israeli air strikes hit two residential buildings in besieged Gaza

Israeli regime hit two residential buildings in the Gaza Strip in fresh air attacks against civilian targets on Sunday morning after Palestinian fighters launched Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, a surprise offensive against Israeli-occupied territories on Saturday.

Several Palestinian news outlets reported that Israeli warplanes bombed the Watan Tower in Gaza City, and also hit the eleven-story al-Aklouk.

There are no immediate reports of serious damage or casualties.

The reports also said that bombs struck the Matar residential building.

The developments came only a few hours after Israeli air raids on the blockaded Gaza Strip flattened Palestine Tower in the heart of Gaza City.

The Gaza-based al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas resistance movement, announced it renewed rocket fire towards the 1948 Israeli-occupied territories on Sunday morning.

Israel has a track record of conducting hits on residential buildings and towers located within the Gaza Strip, one of the world’s most densely populated areas.

Similar Israeli air strikes on residential towers in the past have provoked heavy responses from Palestinians, who warn Israel to avoid targeting civilian buildings.

Operation Al-Aqsa Storm is the biggest to be carried out by Palestinian resistance groups against the occupying regime in years. Resistance fighters crossed the fence into Israeli-occupied cities, with hundreds of rockets being fired from the Gaza Strip.

On Sunday, Hamas announced the number of Israelis taken captive in the ongoing operation is far more than “dozens” that was claimed by Israel’s prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

‘Al-Aqsa Storm aims to liberate Palestinian lands, holy sites’

The deputy head of the Hamas movement, Saleh al-Arouri, says the primary goal of Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, is to liberate the occupied Palestinian lands and holy sites, stressing that the battle will be escalating until its aim is achieved.

Arouri said that the operation is not a hit-and-run one, but rather an all-out battle.

Palestinians will not stand idle while the occupying Israeli regime attacks the al-Aqsa Mosque compound and desecrates the holy sites, he added.

“Al-Qassam Brigades captured enough Israeli soldiers during an unprecedented attack against Israel to make Israeli authorities free all Palestinian prisoners in its jails,” he said, noting that senior Israeli officers were among those captured.

Arouri said that the fighting front is expected to expand, adding that Palestinian resistance fighters are ready for worst-case scenarios including Israeli ground invasion.

He urged Palestinians all over the occupied territories to engage in the battle, calling on Arab and Muslim countries to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian resistance front.

‘Palestinian fighters united in Operation Aqsa Storm’

Spokesman for the al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad resistance movement, Abu Hamza, also said his comrade resistance fighters are also engaged in Operation Al-Aqsa Storm.

“Palestinian resistance fighters in the al-Quds Brigades also managed to capture Israeli soldiers,” he said, adding that they are united with al-Qassam Brigades until the full liberation of Palestinian lands and holy sites.

Abu Hamza added that the battle will continue and that resistance is the only way to liberate Palestinian lands and holy sites.

The official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that hospital officials in the Strip have recorded the death of 232 civilians and injury of nearly 1,700 others as a result of Israeli bombardment across the Gaza Strip.

A large number of buildings, homes, and public facilities have also been seriously damaged due to the bombardments.

Biden vows ‘rock solid’ support for Israeli onslaught on Gaza

US President Joe Biden has pledged unwavering support for the Israeli regime after the Gaza-based Palestinian resistance launched a large-scale operation in the occupied territories.

In a phone call with the Israeli regime’s embattled prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Biden offered his “rock solid” support for the regime.

In recent months, Biden has had shaky relations with Netanyahu over his extreme policies.

In a televised address from the White House, Biden claimed, “In my administration, support for Israel’s security is rock solid and unwavering. We’ll make sure that they have the help their citizens need and they can continue to defend themselves.”

“We stand ready to offer all appropriate means of support to the government and people of Israel,” Biden added.

The US president also warned against the escalation of the fighting into a wider conflict, saying, “This is not a moment for any party hostile to Israel to exploit these attacks to seek advantage. The world is watching.”

Biden claimed Israel — which the United States has supplied with hundreds of billions of dollars worth of arms and munitions over decades to suppress Palestinians — has “a right to defend itself.”

Meanwhile, a senior Biden administration official told reporters that the United States was working with other governments to make sure the crisis does not spread and is contained to Gaza.

Media reports said on Saturday that discussions between the US and Israeli regime military officials were already underway at senior levels and an announcement by Washington was expected on Sunday.

US Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, reiterated Biden’s support for the Israeli regime, saying he “will work to ensure that Israel has what it needs.”

In a related development, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke with Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas and “called on all leadership in the region to condemn” the operation by Hamas.

Also, former US president Donald Trump blamed Biden for the Palestinian operation, claiming that the Democratic president indirectly funded the campaign.

“These Hamas attacks are a disgrace and Israel has every right to defend itself with overwhelming force,” Trump said in a statement.

“Sadly, American taxpayer dollars helped fund these attacks, which many reports are saying came from the Biden administration.”

Al-Aqsa Storm: Palestinian Resistance humiliates Israel

The operation, which began on Saturday morning, took Israel by surprise on multiple fronts. The operation is unprecedented in the past 50 years.

It was the biggest attack on the Zionist regime in 50 years. It is haunting the invaders of the 1973 Yom Kippur War. It came 50 years and a day after forces from Egypt and Syria caught Israel off-guard.

Battles were still taking place in 22 locations, according to Israelis.

The armed wing of Hamas said more than 5,000 rockets had been fired from the besieged Gaza into the occupied territories within a space of 20 minutes.

Israel’s N12 News reported that at least 100 Israelis were killed. Israel’s ambulance service added that the toll was expected to rise.

A senior Hamas leader has said that the group had captured enough Israeli soldiers during the unprecedented attack to make Israeli authorities free all Palestinian prisoners.

The head of a regional Israeli council northeast of the Gaza Strip has been killed in a firefight, according to the council. “The president of the regional council, Ofir Liebstein, was killed during an exchange of fire with [the Resistance],” the Israeli Shaar Negev settlement council said in a statement.

As rocket barrages hit Israeli settlements and other sensitive sites, units of Hamas’ armed wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, infiltrated into Israeli settlements and military bases.

Israel’s ambassador to the UN has said that fighters, who infiltrated from a number of different points, “killed DOZENS of Israelis”.

What Israel doesn’t know is how many Palestinian Resistance fighters had infiltrated from Gaza into the settlements.

According to Reuters, Israel’s police chief said there were “21 active scenes” in southern occupied territories, indicating the extent of the surprise operation.

Israeli Minister of War Yoav Gallant said, “troops are fighting against the enemy at every location”.

A video going viral on social media shows a section of the separation fence, dividing the Gaza Strip from the occupied Palestinian territories, wide open from what appears to be an explosive device.

Footage shows Palestinian Resistance fighters on jeeps leaving the Gaza Strip and heading into occupied Palestinian territory for the first time in modern history amid chants of support and celebration by local residents.
For many Palestinian residents in Gaza, it was also a chance for them to step into the land of their grandparents.

Other footage circulating on social media appears to show clashes in the streets of Israeli settlements as well as gunmen in jeeps roaming the countryside.

Hamas media displayed videos of bodies of Israeli soldiers brought into Gaza by its forces, and Palestinian Resistance fighters touring an Israeli town in jeeps.

At least one video going viral on social media shows the body of an Israeli on the back of a captured Israeli jeep that had been driven back into the Gaza Strip.

The al-Qassam Brigades announced control of the Kibbutz settlement and the Kerem Shalom military site east of Rafah.

Other footage shows Palestinians in control of Israeli military vehicles and Israeli tanks on fire near the separation fence. A Palestinian man can be seen taking a selfie in front of a burning Israeli military vehicle.
Footage of Israeli firefighters extinguishing a fire after a rocket hit a parking lot in the settlement of Ashkelon is among various similar videos that have been broadcast.

In the settlement of Sderot, Israeli troops were engaged in clashes with the resistance fighters. In all the wars that proceeded this one, the fighting has never gone beyond the besieged Gaza Strip.

The Israeli military has confirmed it is engaged in clashes with the resistance in several Israeli settlements and military bases near Gaza, with prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowing to retaliate.

The Israeli army has not gained control of any of the locations Hamas fighters infiltrated in southern occupied Palestinian territories, according to Israeli media.

The Haaretz newspaper reported that settlers are still in shelters, and there are no Israeli security forces or medical staff on site.

Palestinians in Gaza expressed disbelief at the infiltration. One Gaza shopkeeper told Reuters “It is like a dream. I still can’t believe it”.

It’s not only a significant move for the Palestinian Resistance but also reflects the messages of Resistance leaders who said that they would take the war to the occupied territories, which many analysts in the region laughed off, implying that this was impossible.
Red alert warning sirens were activated in Tel Aviv, Sde Boker, Arad, and Dimona in the south, as explosions were heard by residents. In occupied al-Quds, rocket sirens sounded followed by the sound of explosions.

“We decided to put an end to all the crimes of the occupation. Their time for rampaging without being held accountable is over,” Hamas said. “We announce Operation al-Aqsa Storm and we fired, in the first strike of 20 minutes, more than 5,000 rockets.”

The Gaza-based Palestinian Islamic Jihad said its fighters have joined the operation as Hamas called on Palestinians everywhere to fight. It also called on Resistance groups in Lebanon to join the fight against Israel.

“We are part of this battle, our fighters are side-by-side with their brothers in the Qassam Brigades until victory is achieved,” Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s armed wing spokesman Abu Hamza said in a post on social media.

Lebanon’s Hezbollah has said it is following the situation in Gaza closely and is “in direct contact with the leadership of the Palestinian Resistance”.

Hezbollah also said the operation was a “decisive response to Israel’s continued occupation and a message to those seeking normalization with Israel”.

Hamas politburo chief Ismail Haniyeh has warned that “this storm which started from Gaza will spread to the West Bank and outside the country and all the places where our people and nation are present.”

Haniyeh called the operation historic and epic, saying the main reason for its start was the “criminal aggression of the Zionists in the al-Aqsa Mosque, which had reached its peak in recent days”.

The highest-ranking Hamas military commander Mohammad Deif, who has survived multiple Israeli assassination attempts and announced the start of the retaliatory operation, said, “This is the day of the greatest battle to end the last occupation on earth.”

He said Palestinian Resistance forces struck numerous Israeli targets, including airports and military facilities.

“Today, the wrath of our nation and righteous fighters is boiling over. This is your day to make the enemy understand that its time has come to an end,” the top commander stated.

Speaking to Al Jazeera, Hamas spokesperson Khaled Qadomi said that the group’s military operation is in response to all the atrocities the Palestinians have faced over the decades on top of them the desecration of Israelis at the al-Aqsa Mosque, Islam’s third holiest site.

“We want the international community to stop atrocities in Gaza, against Palestinian people, our holy sites like Al-Aqsa. All these things are the reason behind starting this battle,” he said.

Asked whether Hamas had taken Israeli soldiers and settlers hostage, Qadomi replied, “They are not hostages. They are prisoners of war.”

He highlighted that the Israeli settlers are also occupiers, and according to international law, they are invaders.

“So the situation today is a war against invaders,” he said.

Israel says it is at “war” and has begun bombing the Gaza Strip, with reports emerging of a large number of dead and wounded Palestinians at a Gaza hospital.

History has proven that these bombing raids by the regime mostly kill women and children on a very large scale.

Critics have previously accused Israel of using these war crime tactics to pressure the Resistance to halt fire.

What is certain is that the events that unfolded on Saturday are a game changer.

Mahjoob Zweiri, a professor at Qatar University, says events of the last few hours (on Saturday) have been “game-changing for the politics of the region”.

“For the first time, the Resistance movement decided to react against the occupiers and the military … I think the Israeli side is facing a real challenge in tackling its image now.

Also, the narrative created by Hamas with regional and international players is interesting,” he said.

Anti-Israeli op. result of Zionist regime’s incessant crimes

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks while speaking on a phone call with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan on Saturday.

His remark came after earlier in the day, Hamas Resistance fighters broke out of the fences separating Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories and infiltrated a number of towns and settlements. A heavy barrage of more than 7,000 rockets was also fired from the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian Islamic Jihad Resistance movement said its fighters have joined the operation as Hamas called on Palestinians everywhere to fight and on Resistance groups in Lebanon to join the fighting against the Israeli regime.

According to Zionist media, at least 300 Zionists have been killed and nearly 1,500 injured following the large-scale operation.

Amir-Abdollahian told his Turkish counterpart that “the Palestinian Resistance’s operation is a spontaneous move and the result of the Zionist regime’s incessant crimes against Palestine.”

He urged all Muslim countries “to remain united in support of the holy occupied city of al-Quds, as well as the oppressed and resistant Palestinian nation.”

Hamas: Number of Israelis taken prisoner many times 'more than dozens'

Palestinian Hamas resistance movement says the number of Israelis taken captive in the ongoing operation against the regime is far more than “dozens,” which was mentioned by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Abu Ubaida, the spokesman for the Gaza Strip-based movement’s military wing, al-Qassam Brigades, provided the information in a recorded message aired shortly after midnight on Sunday.

“Today, you talked about dozens of prisoners and we reassure you, Netanyahu, that your prisoners are many times more than this number, and you must keep track of your soldiers well,” he said.

“These prisoners are present in all areas [across Gaza], and everything that happens to our people in the Gaza Strip is happening to them,” the spokesman added.

The movement’s fighters have captured a great number of Israeli forces and settlers since early Saturday, when they launched Operation al-Aqsa Storm, the biggest to be carried out by Palestinian resistance groups against the occupying regime in years.

It has featured heavy rocket barrages and surprise attacks by resistance fighters against Israeli forces and settlers in the occupied territories. So far, around 300 Israelis have died as a result of the operation and thousands of others have been injured, hundreds of them critically.

Resistance leaders have described the operation as a decisive answer to the Israeli regime’s unabated campaign of bloodshed and destruction against Palestinians.

‘Threatening Gaza, a losing game’

Elsewhere in his remarks, Abu Ubaida also reacted to remarks by Netanyahu in which he alleged that the Israeli military “is about to use all its force” to destroy military capabilities of both Hamas and Islamic Jihad movements.

Emphasizing that Netanyahu’s speech indicated a deep crisis for the Israeli entity, the spokesman said, “Threatening Gaza is a losing game.”

Addressing Netanyahu, he added, “You threaten us with any army, Netanyahu, with your soldiers who fled like locusts in front of the Qassam fighters in their hundreds, leaving everything behind.”

Israeli forces kill 6 Palestinian youths in West Bank, including 13-year-old child

Israeli forces have killed six Palestinian youths, including a 13-year-old child, during attacks across the occupied West Bank as Gaza-based resistance groups launched a major operation against the regime in the southern part of the occupied territories.

According to a report by Palestinian Wafa news agency quoting the Health Ministry, 18-year-old Mahmoud Bassem Akhmis succumbed to his wounds after he was shot by Israeli forces in the town of Beit Ummar, north of the city of al-Khalil, also known as Hebron, Saturday evening.

He was seriously injured during a violent raid by Israeli forces at the entrance to Beit Ummar, in which the regime’s forces fired live bullets at young Palestinians. The Palestinian youth was later pronounced dead at hospital.

According to the director of al-Ahli Hospital in al-Khalil, another young man, identified as Youssef Nader Suleiman Idris (19 years old), also died as a result of the critical injury he sustained after he was shot by Israeli forces’ live bullets in the chest during a raid in the center of the city of al-Khalil.

Before him, a 13-year-old Palestinian child, identified as Ahmed Abdel Nasser Rabi, succumbed to his critical injuries after being shot by Israeli forces’ live bullets in the abdomen during an attack in Qalqilyah.

Another young man, identified as Amr Youssef Ibrahim Abed, from the town of Beitunia, west of Ramallah, died as a result of his critical injury in the head during confrontations at the northern entrance to al-Bireh.

The report added that 22-year-old Karam Nasser al-Aidi also died as a result of his critical head injury sustained during an Israeli raid at the northern entrance to the city of Jericho, also known as Ariha.

And finally, the sixth Palestinian youth was identified as Muhammad Awad Jarboua (24 years old), who died from critical wounds sustained during an Israeli raid near the village of al-Laban al-Gharbi, west of the city of Ramallah.

More than 200 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces so far this year across the occupied territories, most of them in the West Bank.

The United Nations has described 2023 as the deadliest year for Palestinians in the West Bank since it began keeping track of fatalities almost two decades ago.

Saturday’s fatalities came amid Operation al-Aqsa Storm, the biggest to be carried out by Palestinian resistance groups against the occupying regime in years, which began earlier in the day.

Many of the participants held up pictures of Iran’s martyred anti-terror commander, Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani. They honored the general’s memory, saying Palestinians’ current victory is the result of his years-long fortification of the regional resistance front and fight against terrorism.

Elsewhere throughout the country, people celebrated the ongoing victory across the holy city of Mashhad, the central cities of Isfahan and Yazd, as well as in Arak, Zanjan Shiraz, Bushehr, and Kerman, among numerous other nationwide locations.

Iran’s foreign minister says the ongoing operation launched by the Palestinian resistance groups against Israel is an outcome of the Zionist regime’s incessant crimes against the people of Palestine.

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian was speaking in a phone call with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, on Saturday.

His remark came after earlier in the day, Hamas resistance fighters broke out of the fences separating Gaza and illegally occupied Palestinian territories and infiltrated a number of towns and settlements. A heavy barrage of more than 7,000 rockets was also fired from the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian Islamic Jihad resistance movement also said its fighters have joined the operation as Hamas called on Palestinians everywhere to fight and on resistance groups in Lebanon to join the fighting against Israel.
