Israeli regime ‘big lie’ whose collapse is ‘imminent’

Addressing a ceremony in western Tehran on Friday evening, Ghalibaf said the collapse of the child-killing regime has just begun.

Jewish immigrants to the occupied land now well know they are no longer safe there, he said, adding that the reverse migration of two million Zionist settlers from the occupied territories is underway.

“Over the past week, the young Palestinians have proven that Israel is nothing but a big lie,” he said.

The Palestinian Resistance movement Hamas on October 7 launched Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, an unprecedented attack, against the Israeli regime, declaring the operation was a response to the regime’s violations at the al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East al-Quds.

The Israeli regime subsequently launched a massive bombing campaign against the densely populated Gaza Strip. The ongoing Israeli regime’s air raids on Gaza have so far killed 1,900 people, including 614 children and 370 women.

Ghalibaf dismissed false impressions about the Israeli regime’s military capabilities, describing the regime’s armed forces as a “cartoon army”.

The mass escape of Zionist troops and their refusal to fight against Palestinian warriors brought disgrace to the regime, he said.

“The Palestinian youths carried out Operation [Al-Aqsa Strom] by surprise, broke through the Zionist regime’s defense lines and captured its troopers. The shame was much graver when the Zionists carried a sophisticated aircraft away from an air base onboard a trailer. The Zionist regime exhibited that it is simply a fake army,” the lawmaker said.

Palestinians exposed the fake nature of Israel’s security through their widespread retaliatory operations, he added.

Iran urges UN to immediately take action for Gazan citizens

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks in the meeting with the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Tor Wennesland at the venue of Iran’s embassy in Beirut, Lebanon on Saturday.

Referring to the Resistance’s recent military operation in Occupied Lands, Amir-Abdollahian said in the meeting, “What the Resistance did was the result of the extremism of the Zionist regime’s Prime Minister Netanyahu.”

Criticizing Washington’s approach toward the Gaza issue, he said that even now, the US advises everyone to exercise self-restraint, but it stands by the Zionist regime.

“If the UN wants to do something, it must act immediately to stop the attacks of the Israeli regime, especially against citizens and civilians,” he said, referring to the Zionist regime’s move to relocate the citizens of Gaza.

Another important issue is the sending of humanitarian aid, which should be done immediately and the International Red Cross should be activated in this regard, the Iranian top diplomat said, adding that the United Nations and the Red Cross should open a path for the transfer of civilian casualties.

There are reports that the Zionist regime uses prohibited bombs against citizens, he also said, adding that it is necessary for the United Nations to investigate and form a research group in this regard.

The UN official, for his part, said that the increase in civilian casualties is very worrying and it is necessary to stop the war or limit it in order to send humanitarian aid immediately.

Iran's human capital records better than global average

The Iranian Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Ehsan Khandouzi made the remarks while addressing a meeting of the human capital committee of the World Bank on the sidelines of the World Bank-IMF Board of Governors Annual Meetings which is being held in Morocco this year with the participation of 147 countries.

“The average human capital index in the world is 0.56 and Iran’s ranking is higher than this average with 0.59; Of course, in this index, the score of women and girls is higher than that of men,” Khandouzi said.

“With regard to the human capital index, we are one of the countries that have a significant position in the West Asia and North Africa region, and the achievements in the field of human capital are ready to be shared with different countries,” he added.

He said that the Iranian government attaches great importance to learning technical skills in the education system, saying that learning skills give the younger generation more job opportunities as they are skilful.

“Meanwhile, the unemployment rate of university graduates has decreased from above 13% to around 12% this year,” he said, noting that the Islamic Republic of Iran seriously supports knowledge-based companies.

He further noted that those firms have played a significant role in reducing the jobless rate in the country.

The World Bank Group-International Monetary Fund Annual Meetings are being held on October 9-15 in Marrakech, Morocco.

Moreover, on the sidelines of the IMF-WB meeting, the Iranian economy minister held a meeting with his Pakistani counterpart, during which he emphasized the need to quickly organize barter trade between the two countries, and discussed joint investment opportunities to present to third parties.

Helping Palestinians duty of every Muslim: Leader

Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks in a meeting with the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky on Saturday.

Referring to the Al-Aqsa Storm operation launched by Palestinian Resistance forces against the Israeli regime, he said that today, one of the manifestations of the power of Islam is the issues that are happening in Palestine.

Expressing regret over the Palestinians’ suffering from the Israeli regime’s crimes, the Leader said that the Palestinians’ anti-Zionist movements will lead to their full victory.

Referring to the formation of the Islamic system in Iran since the Islamic Revolution in 1979, he said that the Islamic Republic has become stronger day by day since its establishment and will become stronger in the future as well.

Today, the Islamic movement is expanding in different parts of the world such as Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America, he further stressed, adding that the success of this movement will continue with greater strength.

Leader receives Nigeria's leader of Islamic Movement Zakzaky

Sheikh Zakzaky arrived in Tehran on Wednesday and was warmly welcomed by the people.

In December 2015, Nigerian army troops attacked Sheikh Zakzaky’s residence and a place of worship belonging to the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, killing over three hundred and forty of his supporters in Zaria, Kaduna state.

Sheikh Zakzaky and his wife have lost their six sons, three of whom were killed during the Zaria Massacre.

He had remained under state detention in the Nigerian capital pending his release, which was ordered in late 2016. In 2019, a court in Kaduna state granted him and his wife bail to seek treatment abroad but they returned from India after three days due to unfair treatment and tough restrictions by security operatives deployed to the medical facility.

Last year, the Kaduna state higher court exonerated him from any charges and ordered his immediate release after 2,055 days of illegal detention.

Hamas hails Putin position on Israel barbaric crimes in Gaza

“We appreciate Russian President Vladimir Putin’s position on the ongoing aggression against our people and his rejection of the Gaza siege, cutting off relief supplies, and targeting safe civilians there,” Hamas said in a statement, Anadolu Agency reports.

Hamas also welcomed Russian efforts “to stop the barbaric and systematic aggression against our Palestinian people in Gaza.”

Putin warned on Friday that civilian casualties will be “absolutely unacceptable” in case of an Israeli ground operation in the Gaza Strip.

The Russian leader blamed the US for the current escalation in the Palestine-Israel conflict and said Washington tried to solve the political problem, namely the creation of a Palestinian state, with the help of certain measures of economic stimulation.

“The United States tried to monopolize the Middle East settlement, but was not concerned about finding compromises, and did not take into account the fundamental interests of the Palestinian people,” he said.

Israeli forces launched a sustained and forceful military campaign against the Gaza Strip in response to a military offensive by the Palestinian group Hamas in Israeli territories.

The conflict began last Saturday when Hamas initiated Operation Al-Aqsa Flood — a multi-pronged surprise attack including a barrage of rocket launches and infiltrations into Israel via land, sea, and air.

Hamas said the operation was in retaliation for the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Al-Quds and Zionist settlers’ growing violence against Palestinians.

The Health Ministry in Gaza announced on Friday that at least 1,900 Palestinians, including 614 children, and 370 women have been martyred in seven days of incessant Israeli bombardment of the blockaded territory.

At least 7,696 Palestinians have also been wounded in the bombardment.

Western double standards on Gaza war

The European Union has asked Elon Musk to censor information not conforming to the Western narrative over Israel’s war of aggression against Palestinians in Gaza.

The EU called on musk, the billionaire owner of the social media platform ‘X’, formerly known as Twitter, to curb the spread of what it called disinformation about Israel’s aggression against Palestinians.

In a letter to Musk, shared on social media, the EU industry chief, Thierry Breton, claimed that he had indications that X was reportedly being employed to disseminate what he called illegal content and disinformation in the European bloc.

The criticism directed at the X social media platform is part of a multi front information war designed to control the narrative around anything surrounding the Palestinian issue and the latest anti occupation operation.

Palestinian support in the West is at an all time high, despite Western leaders coming out in the open in defense of the Israeli regime and its relentless and indiscriminate aggression against Palestinians.

In France, which prides itself for its so called freedom of expression, police attacked a pro Palestine demonstration.

It’s a shame that France is authorizing the protests in favor of Israel, but forbidding the protests for Palestine, arguing that they pose a security problem.

They just can put some policemen and they will see that things will go well.

We have the right to show solidarity with people who have been suffering oppression for a long time. This has to stop, stop hypocrisy, stop.

French Protester 01

Western leaders and their media cronies have come out in unison disseminating the same false narrative that the Hamas operation was unprovoked and the Israeli regime is justified in attacking Palestinians, but they fail to mention the unbearable situation that Israel has created for Palestinians, both in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.

Also, this is just part of colonization. This is the last phase of European colonization.

And notice that the countries that are most strongly in support of Israel are not just the United States.

It’s the United States, Australia and Canada, the offshoots of England, Anglosphere, they are sometimes called, unusual forms of imperialism.

These are settler colonial societies.

Noam Chomsky, Philosopher

The west and its media apparatuses have turned to their disinformation campaigns to muddy the line between fact and reality.

Perhaps the most egregious claim came from the Zionist outlet i24 news. It had falsely claimed that 40 Israeli babies were killed and that some were decapitated. The claim has been proven false by media outlets.

The claim of Israeli babies being killed was spread with no proof or credible source yet the very real footage of murdered Palestinian babies being pulled from the Gaza rubble was largely ignored by Western leaders.

I am incredibly angered that word of mouth, unverified reports of “rape and decapitation”, which obviously draw on Islamophobic tropes, have garnered more and more political and global outrage than those very images and then a video of a nurse announcing and screaming in distress that her husband has been killed in an Israeli airstrike.

And you know, the PR the PR strategy of the Israeli regime throughout all of this has been turned into Islamophobic sentiments,

Mohammed El-Kurd, Palestinian Writer

The Western media and celebrity apparatus are intertwined, and they propagate the so called standard narrative about the righteousness of Western Israeli axis and the inherent evil character of Muslims and Arabs.

Any deviation, meaning support for Palestine, is met with false claims of antisemitism, racism or outlandish smear campaigns.

Decades of aggression, occupation land theft, systematic discrimination against Palestinians and oppression, have largely been ignored.

The Israeli government have [sic] brazenly, publicly, and, openly, declared their intention to commit a war crime and have commenced that war crime against the people of Gaza, saying that they intend to starve of food, electricity, water, 2.2 million people.

That is a war crime under the Fourth Geneva Convention.

They are raining down thousands of the most sophisticated missiles known to humanity onto the most densely populated area in the world, (where) almost every missile will incur civilian casualties, will and are destroying the infrastructure, the water infrastructure, the energy…

MSNBC removes 3 top Muslims from anchoring duties amid Gaza war: Report

American cable channel MSNBC has quietly taken three prominent anti-Israel Muslim journalists “out of the anchor’s chair” after the onset of war between Palestinians and Israel, a report says.

In a report on Saturday, Semafor news website said MSNBC quietly took Mehdi Hasan, Ayman Mohyeldin, and Ali Velshi “out of the anchor’s chair” after a war broke out between Hamas  and Israel on October 7.

According to the report, MSNBC did not broadcast its scheduled Thursday night episode of The Mehdi Hasan Show on the streaming platform Peacock.

As a British-American broadcaster and best-selling author of Indian descent, Hasan has presented The Mehdi Hasan Show on Peacock since October 2020 and on MSNBC since February 2021.

The network also reversed a plan for Mohyeldin to fill in for another host on Thursday and Friday. The Egyptian-American journalist, the network’s most experienced reporter in Gaza, is a fierce critic of policies adopted by Israel toward Palestinians. As a veteran NBC News correspondent, he covered the conflict from the besieged Gaza Strip for two years.

Citing an unnamed sources with knowledge of the plans, Semafor said MSNBC also plans to replace Velshi with Alicia Menendez in this upcoming weekend. As a Canadian journalist of Indian descent, Velshi is a Muslim and a senior economic and business correspondent for NBC News since October 2016. He serves as an anchor for MSNBC.

Velshi on Sunday had interviewed a spokesman for the Palestinian Authority, which governs the occupied West Bank.

According to the report, some staff at MSNBC have been concerned by the shifts, feeling all the three hosts have some of the “deepest knowledge” of the conflict in the occupied territories.

NBC claimed that the changes are ”coincidental” and denied that that the hosts – three of the most high-profile Muslim on-air personalities on the network – are being sidelined, saying that the three Muslim journalists continue to appear on air to report and provide analysis.

The apparent dismissals came after the editorial board of the New York Post published a scathing attack on MSNBC for its “shameful” coverage of the Palestinian operation, accusing the news organization of having “run interference for Hamas.”

The paper echoed the attack from NewsNation host Dan Abrams, who ripped MSNBC’s “shameful pandering to their far left audience,” singling out Mohyeldin, Velshi and Hasan for their alleged anti-Israel stance.

Hamas launched Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against Israel on Saturday in response to the regime’s violations at Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East al-Quds and growing settler violence.

The surprise raid shook the usurping entity’s security establishment, leaving about 1,300 Israelis dead.

In response, Israel launched deadly strikes on the Gaza Strip. More than 1,900 Palestinians, including 614 children, and 370 women, have been killed and close to 8,000 others injured.

The military campaign has seen the Israel regime leveling entire districts and using banned white phosphorous munitions against densely-populated neighborhoods.

Iran parliament speaker calls Israel a ‘big lie’ whose collapse is ‘imminent’

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf has called Israel a “big lie,” emphasizing that the collapse of the occupying Tel Aviv regime is a reality that will materialize in the near future.

Addressing a ceremony in western Tehran on Friday evening, Qalibaf said the collapse of the child-killing regime has just begun.

Jewish immigrants to Israel now well know they are no longer safe there, he said, adding that the reverse migration of two million Israeli settlers from the occupied territories is underway.

Israel subsequently launched a massive bombing campaign against the densely populated Gaza Strip. The ongoing Israeli air raids on Gaza have so far killed 1,900 people, including 614 children and 370 women.

The senior Iranian legislator dismissed false impressions about Israel’s military capabilities, describing the regime’s armed forces as a “cartoon army”.

The mass escape of Israeli troops and their refusal to fight against Palestinian warriors brought disgrace to the regime, Qalibaf said.

Qalibaf also said that five administrations have come to office in Israel in almost two years, which exposes the political instability and disputes within the entity.

Palestinians exposed the fake nature of Israel’s security through their widespread retaliatory operations, he added.

Resistance to give response if world delays stopping Zionists

In a press conference in the Lebanese capital of Beirut on Saturday, the top Iranian diplomat offered condolences to the journalists attending the presser over the death of their colleagues by the Israeli regime.

Saying that Resistance leaders have told him that their forces are well prepared to respond to the Tel Aviv regime’s aggression, Amir-Abdollahian stressed that in any situation, whether it is the expansion of the war or a ceasefire, it is the Resistance side that will make the decision. “If the war crimes stop and the parties agree on a kind of ceasefire, it is the Resistance that will determine and announce its conditions.”

“The Resistance alone is capable of doing any action and they have the necessary and sufficient capabilities,” he said, emphasizing that Iran actively supports the Palestinians’ Resistance against the Israeli regime’s occupation and war crimes at the political and international levels.

Today, the Resistance in the region is in a situation where it supplies and produces all the defense and technological requirements itself, he stressed.

Stressing that Iran will continue its diplomatic efforts to stop the Zionists’ war crimes and lift the blockade of the Gaza Strip, the Iranian foreign minister cited that the Zionists are now in their worst situation.

Today, the Resistance’s leaders in the region have great and excellent cohesion. All scenarios are designed and ready, and everyone’s hand is on the trigger, he said, adding that in case of delay by the international community and the United Nations and the activists who support the Zionist regime’s warmongering, the response will be made at the appropriate time and desired by the authorities of Resistance.

He further stressed that the Resistance’s leaders have said that the response would lead to the change of the current map of the occupied territories of Palestine.
