Biden to head to Israel in show of support as Gaza war rages

US President Joe Biden is set to visit to Israel to show support for Tel Aviv as Washington has pledged more military assistance to the occupying regime.

At the end of hours of talks with Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Tel Aviv, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Biden will visit Israel on Wednesday.

“The president will hear from Israel what it needs to defend its people as we continue to work with Congress to meet those needs,” Blinken said.

His remarks come as the Biden administration is pushing for congressional approval for a new weapons aid package for Israel and Ukraine.

The US has already sent two aircraft carriers to the eastern Mediterranean to support the Israeli regime in its all-out war against Gaza.

Blinken said Biden would also “hear from Israel how it will conduct its operations.”

Biden’s West Asia tour will also include a visit to Jordan to meet King Abdullah, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Mahmoud Abbas, president of the Palestinian Authority.

Israel is reportedly planning a ground invasion of Gaza that could ignite a regional war amid intensified clashes between Hezbollah resistance movement and Israeli forces along the fence separating the occupied territories from Lebanon.

The Israeli military claimed on Tuesday it had killed four people who had allegedly tried to cross the fence to plant explosives.

Palestinian resistance dealt a heavy blow to the Israeli regime and its ally US when it fired missiles at Tel Aviv and al-Quds on Monday, triggering air raid warning sirens that forced Blinken and Netanyahu to hide in bunkers.

The missiles also sent Israeli lawmakers into shelters at the Knesset. The rockets were fired amid rising Israeli threats to eradicate Hamas and the Palestinian nation.

On October 7, Palestinians resistance movement Hamas launched the al-Aqsa Storm operation against Israel in response to the occupying regime’s decades-long campaign of bloodletting and devastation against Palestinians.

The Israeli bombing campaign on Gaza killed more than 2,800 people, many of whom children and women, and injured nearly 10,000 others.

Israel has also cut off fuel, water, energy, and food supplies to the coastal strip, which is home to over two million Palestinians and has already been suffering under a 16-year-old Israeli blockade.

The Israeli strikes have driven around half of the Gazans from their homes, according to the United Nations.

IRGC warns of another shockwave if Israel not end atrocities

“The Resistance front’s shocks against the Zionist regimes will continue until this cancerous tumour is eradicated from the world map,” said Brigadier General Ali Fadavi.

“Another shockwave is on the way if Israel does not end atrocities in Gaza,” he stressed.

His comments came as the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in a meeting with a group of Iranian elites and top scientific talents on Tuesday said that if Israeli crimes against Palestinians in Gaza continue, no one can stop Muslims and Resistance forces.

Ayatollah Khamenei said that Muslim nations are angry at the Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip.

On October 7, Hamas launched Operation Al-Aqsa Storm deep into the territories occupied by the Israeli regime. The operation involved large-scale air, land, and sea strikes.

The group said the operation was a reaction to the recurring desecration of the al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied al-Quds as well as intensified Israeli atrocities against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.

High-ranking officials of the Zionist regime acknowledged that this operation commenced with high confidentiality of the operation information and adhered to the principle of surprise attacks.

Israel responded with intensive air strikes on civilian targets in the Gaza Strip, killing at least 2,866 Palestinians in Gaza and wounding some 12,000 others, according to the territory’s health ministry.

The regime has also intensified the siege of Gaza, leaving the city, home to more than 2 million Palestinians, without water, electricity, fuel, and internet.

‘Resistance’s hands not tied up, Israel must expect all scenarios’

The spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry says the resistance front’s hands are not tied up and there are other options if Israel continues its atrocities against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

“We are witnessing an unequal war against Palestinian people in Gaza, and the onslaught is followed by numerous crimes,” Nasser Kan’ani said during an interview with Lebanon’s Aabic-language al-Mayadeen television news network.

“We are witnessing genocide against Palestinians. All those who follow Israeli affairs acknowledge that the Zionist regime is not what it used to be prior to October 7. The resistance’s hands are not tied up. It will not stand idly by and will deliver a deterrent response.”

He added, “The Axis of Resistance is not constrained to one specific front, and the Zionists should consider any scenario as fairly likely.”

On Monday, Abu Ubaida, a spokesman for the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Gaza-based Hamas resistance movement, emphasized that his comrades are “not intimidated” by the Israeli regime’s threat of launching a ground aggression against the Gaza Strip.

“Threatening us with ground invasion does not intimidate us, and we are ready to deal with any brutal force,” he said, warning, “Gaza will only be a graveyard for its invaders and its sands will swallow you up.”

Israel reportedly requests $10 billion aid package from US

The sources argued that the US Congress is coordinating the issue with the White House as lawmakers seek to link the Israel aid package with assistance to Ukraine and Taiwan, as well as funds to fortify the US-Mexico border.

The claims come after Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said that Congress mulls providing the Israeli regime with replacement ammunition for the Iron Dome air defense system, precision-guided bombs, Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) kits to turn standard bombs into precision ones and 155-mm shells, sputnik reported.

The Israeli military said last week that a US aircraft had landed in Israel with the first shipment of American ammunition for Tel Aviv since the October 7 escalation of the Palestine-Israel conflict.

Israel launched the war on Gaza on October 7 after the Palestinian Hamas resistance group waged a surprise attack, dubbed Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, against the occupying entity.

Hamas said that its operation came in response to Israel’s violations at the al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East al-Quds and growing Israeli violence.

Nearly 2,800 Palestinians have been killed and 10,000 wounded in Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, the Gaza Health Ministry said.

Al-Aqsa Storm favorable opportunity to pull plug on Israel

“Operation Al-Aqsa storm is our favorable opportunity to end the existence of Israel. The Zionist regime has destroyed the [so-called] two-state solution, and we have no choice but to resist,” Khaled Meshaal said on Monday evening.

He added that the belligerent policies and criminal activities of the occupying Tel Aviv regime would leave the Palestinian nation with no option other than resistance, emphasizing that Palestinians have a deep yearning for freedom, liberation, and an end to the occupation.

“Palestinians have no choice other than resistance. Currently, there are no talks about ceasefire. We will defeat occupiers in case of a ground incursion into the Gaza Strip,” Meshaal noted.

He went on to say that the Israeli military suffered an ignominious defeat in the wake of the Palestinian operation, adding that the regime is seeking to burnish its public image and eke out a bogus victory.

The Israeli army is taking revenge on civilians and ordinary people in Gaza, the senior Hamas leader said.

“The resistance front has developed various ground, naval, and aerial scenarios. The Zionist regime’s army has been thrown into a state of total confusion,” Meshaal said.

He described Israel as a paper regime, saying, “Is it the same entity that used to scare the entire region?! The primary goal of the Israeli onslaught on the Gaza Strip has always been defined as the destruction of Hamas.”

“Our people in Gaza will not leave their homeland as they have deep roots in the area. Palestinians’ refusal of the Israeli army order to evacuate the northern Gaza Strip is an irreversible decision, and also in the best interest of Egypt,” Meshaal said.

The top Hamas leader also extended gratitude to fighters from the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement for launching a series of attacks on Israeli military posts on the border between the Arab country and the occupied territories.

“Hezbollah has carried out several attacks that deserve praise and acclaim. It is in our interest to fight together on the same front,” Meshaal said.

Israeli regime uses white phosphorus in south Lebanon again

The Zionist forces mostly attacked residential areas, with those adjacent to the so-called Blue Line, a demarcation line between Lebanon and occupied Palestine, coming under attack, Al Wataniya said.

The attacks resulted in casualties, but their number has not been disclosed, TASS reported.

On October 11, the Lebanese news agency said that the Israeli regime’s troops used white phosphorus in strikes on the western part of South Lebanon.
