A BRS delegation met Telangana Chief Electoral Officer C Sudarshan Reddy, seeking clarification over the electoral roll preparation schedule for two Graduates’ constituencies. The party flagged discrepancies between the graduate voter enrolment timeline and the Special Intensive Revision schedule, urging the Election Commission to modify procedures to avoid difficulties for eligible voters.

Hyderabad: A BRS delegation on Tuesday met Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) C Sudarshan Reddy and submitted a representation seeking clarification on the schedule for preparation of electoral rolls for the Mahabubnagar-Rangareddy-Hyderabad and Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Graduates’ Constituencies.
MLCs L Ramana and Dasoju Sravan, former MLC Karne Prabhakar and former TGPSC member Sumithranand met the CEO and raised objections over the schedule for enrolment of graduate voters.
In its representation, the BRS pointed out that the electoral rolls were being prepared afresh with November 1, 2026 as the qualifying date. The last date for submitting applications in Form-18 is November 6, while draft rolls are scheduled to be prepared and printed by November 20 and published on November 25.
The party pointed out a discrepancy with the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) schedule, under which the final electoral roll is scheduled to be published on November 9.
The BRS sought clarification on how applicants could furnish EPIC numbers or other electoral roll particulars in Form-18 when the final SIR roll would be published only after the deadline for submitting applications.
The delegation urged the CEO to clarify the procedure and, if necessary, modify the schedule to ensure eligible graduates can enrol without practical difficulties and get an effective opportunity to register as voters in the Graduates’ constituencies.
