Jayashankar Bhupalpally: A man and his son were electrocuted while watering their paddy crop at Kondapet village on Thursday evening. The incident came to light on Friday.
Police said Bapu (48) and his son Manoj (23) died on the spot after touching a live wire while attempting to switch on a motor at a farm well. Further details are awaited.
It was learnt that they had left home to irrigate the crop on Thursday evening. They did not return home late at night. Their family members found their bodies near the well and alerted the local police on Friday morning. The bodies were shifted to a hospital in Bhupalpally for post-mortem.
Based on a complaint received from Bapu’s family members, a case has been registered. Investigation is underway.
