A local court sentenced Y. Sandeep Kumar to life imprisonment for murdering a woman and attempting to kill her daughter in Miyapur in December 2022. The convict also received 10 years’ imprisonment for attempted murder and three months for house trespass.

Hyderabad: A local court on Thursday, sentenced Y Sandeep Kumar (26), to life imprisonment for murdering a woman and attempting to kill her daughter in Miyapur in December 2022.
The court also awarded 10 years’ rigourous imprisonment for attempted murder and three months’ simple imprisonment for house trespass, along with fines.
Sandeep Kumar had stalked and harassed the survivor after suspecting her character, before attacking her and her mother at their residence. The mother, died of her injuries the following day.
He was arrested on recovering after attempting suicide following the attack.
