Hezbollah strikes Israeli military command HQ with drone

The Israeli regime media confirmed on Tuesday that rockets had hit inside the Northern Command base of the regime military in Safad.

Missiles or kamikaze drones were reported to have fallen inside the Northern Command base of the Israeli army in Safad.

Hezbollah military media issued a statement on Tuesday to give further details about the attack.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese Islamic Resistance fighters continued on Tuesday striking the Israeli occupation sites and troops on the Lebanon border, Hezbollah said in a statement after the attack.

“In response to the assassination crime of the great leader, the martyr Sheikh Saleh Al-Arouri, and his brothers, the martyred in the southern suburbs of Beirut, and the assassination of the martyr Leader, our brother, the Fighter Wissam Tawil (Hajj Jawad), the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon targeted the headquarters of the Northern Command of the enemy’s army in the occupied city of Safad (Dado Base) with a number of assault drones,” the statement read.

It’s worth noting that the Dado base is 29 km away from the Lebanese southern borders, the statement added.

The Islamic Resistance announced yesterday the martyrdom of the leader Wissam Hasan Tawil, known as “Al-Hajj Jawad”, from the town of Khirbet Selem in southern Lebanon, who attained martyrdom All the Way to Al-Quds.

The statement was issued minutes before the mourning ceremony for martyr Tawil kicked off in his hometown in Khirbet Selem.

Later on, Hezbollah issued a statement, saying, “In steadfast support of our Palestinian brothers and sisters in the Gaza Strip, and in solidarity with their courageous and honorable resistance, the Islamic Resistance fighters executed two targeted operations on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.”

“At 9:35 a.m., our forces directed missile weapons at Al-Baghdadi’s site, securing a direct hit,” the statement read.

Shortly thereafter, at 9:40 a.m., the Yiftah Barracks became the focal point of a second operation, with the Hezbollah fighters employing missile weaponry to achieve another precise and impactful strike.
