Adilabad police opens library for government job aspirants in remote tribal village

The Adilabad police have opened a library with 500 books at remote Lokari village in Gadiguda mandal to help government job aspirants. SP Akhil Mahajan said free coaching programmes and similar educational initiatives would soon be launched across the district.

Adilabad: Police established a library meant for the convenience of aspirants of government jobs at remote Lokari village in Gadiguda mandal. SP Akhil Mahajan, who was the chief guest, formally inaugurated the facility on Thursday.

Addressing residents of the village and aspirants, Akhil underlined the importance of education for tribal students. He opined that education was the most powerful weapon to transform the future of tribal children. He advised the students to be friendly with the books available in the library and bring about their lives.


The SP asked the aspirants to visit the library and spend a few minutes every day. He urged parents to take the responsibility of sending their children to the facility and to improve their knowledge. He noted that 500 books, placed in the library were useful to not only aspirants of UPSC, but also Groups, SI and constable examinations.

The IPS officer wanted tribal youngsters, teachers and parents to cultivate the reading habit. He requested them to crack government jobs by utilizing the opportunity. He stated that similar initiatives would be launched in other parts of the district soon. He added free coaching programmes were going to be provided to the aspirants.

Utnoor ASP Ruthwik Sai Kotte, Narnoor Inspector Anjamma, Gadiguda SI Ramya, elders of tribal communities were present.
