Hyderabad: Daily wage labourer dies of electric shock while trimming branches in Alwal

A 45-year-old daily wage labourer died after allegedly suffering an electric shock while trimming tree branches in MES Colony, Alwal. Police said the branches came into contact with nearby power lines. The victim, Suryanarayana, is survived by his wife and three sons.

Hyderabad: In a tragic incident, a 45-year-old daily wage labourer died allegedly after suffering an electric shock while trimming tree branches in MES Colony in Alwal on Wednesday.

The victim, identified as Suryanarayana, was called for cutting branches in front of an apartment when the branches reportedly came into contact with nearby power lines, resulting in a fatal electric shock.


On being alerted by residents, the Alwal police reached the spot and took up investigation.

Suryanarayana, who worked as a daily wage labourer to support his family, is survived by wife and three sons.

Alwal Police are investigating.
