Adilabad: A four-year-old boy sustained serious injuries after being mauled by a pack of stray dogs in Indervelli town on Saturday, triggering panic among residents.
Residents said the boy, Sangarshan, was playing in front of his house when the dogs attacked him, injuring his face and hands. He reportedly suffered heavy bleeding before locals rescued him and rushed him to a hospital. His condition was said to be stable.
Residents said they were living in fear because of the stray dog menace in the mandal headquarters. They said they were afraid to walk on the streets and alleged that the problem remained unaddressed despite repeated complaints to officials.
They urged the authorities to take immediate steps to address the issue.
