In a social media post, the senior Iranian diplomat released a video of Scott Bessent, the US Treasury Secretary, in which he speaks with pride about the seizure of assets belonging to Iran.
He also quoted an excerpt from the play “Macbeth” by William Shakespeare, likening the official to a giant’s robe upon a dwarfish thief.
The excerpt is as follows:
“Now does he feel his title
Hang loose about him, like a giant’s robe Upon a dwarfish thief.”
