A private travel bus from Hyderabad to Kakinada caught fire near Peddakaparthi village in Nalgonda district. All 36 passengers were safely evacuated by the driver and cleaner before the vehicle was gutted. Officials suspect a short circuit may have caused the blaze.

Hyderabad: Passenger of a private travel bus heading from Hyderabad to Kakinada had a miraculous escape when the vehicle caught fire in Nalgonda district on Saturday.
The bus carrying 36 passengers was on way from the city to Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh, when on reaching Peddakaparthi village in Chityala mandal of Nalgonda district fire started in the bus.
The driver and cleaner of the bus swung into action and de-boarded all the 36 passengers. The fire soon spread and the bus gutted in the fire. A fire tender from the local fire station reached the spot and doused the fire. The officials suspect the fire might have started due to a short circuit.
