An FIR has been registered at Madhapur Police Station after a vehicle allegedly used the HMWSSB name and logo while offering sludge and septage cleaning services. The Water Board warned the public against unauthorised use of its official identity and urged caution.

Hyderabad: An FIR has been registered at the Madhapur Police Station in connection with an incident in which the name and logo of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) were allegedly used without authorisation for sludge and septage cleaning operations.
A press release stated on Friday that a vehicle bearing registration number TG08V6294, belonging to AG Septic Tank Cleaner PVT. Ltd., was offering sludge and septage cleaning services while using the HMWSSB’s identity. Water Board authorities said the use of the name and logo had the potential to mislead the public and brought the matter to the attention of the police.
Based on the complaint, an FIR was subsequently booked at the Madhapur Police Station and further legal proceedings were initiated.
The Water Board urged the public to remain cautious of individuals, companies or vehicles claiming to provide services while using its name, logo or official identity without permission. It appealed to citizens to immediately inform the relevant Water Board officials or the police if they came across similar incidents. Officials said strict action would be taken against anyone found misusing the Water Board’s name or logo, it said.
