Sunstroke claims two lives in Mancherial, one in Adilabad

Three persons died of suspected sunstroke in separate incidents in Mancherial district within 24 hours as severe heat wave conditions continued. The victims included an elderly man, a differently abled person and a hamali working at a market yard.

Mancherial: The scorching heat wave continues to take a toll on people. In separate incidents, three persons died of sunstroke in the district in the last 24 hours.

In the first incident, Samala Rajaiah (75) of Devapur collapsed in the afternoon. He was rushed to a hospital in Mancherial town where doctors declared him brought dead.


In the second incident, Gaguri Durga Prasad (32), a differently abled person from Ashok Road in Mancherial town, lost consciousness on Wednesday afternoon. He was immediately shifted to a hospital, where doctors declared that he was brought dead. He was working at a hotel.

In yet another incident, Sakipelli Vinod (34), a hamali from Jainath, fell ill while lifting bags at the market yard. He was admitted to RIMS-Adilabad, where he died while undergoing treatment on Wednesday evening.
