Sangareddy: The last-minute cancellation of a programme by Ministers D Sridhar Babu and Damodara Rajanarasimha at National Investment and Manufacturing Zone (NIMZ) raised several eyebrows.
The two ministers were scheduled to participate in the ground breaking ceremony of Vem Technologies on Friday at 11 am.
The management had already made all arrangements erecting a tent and organising lunch for ministers and other guests. The media persons and officials had begun their journey towards Zaheerabad from Sangareddy.
However, they had to abort their journey midway. The Ministers went on to participate in another company, KJS India Private Limited’s, ground breaking ceremony at Thogarpally in Kondapur mandal.
A section of leaders and officials were seen discussing that the political differences within Congress made the minister cancel the programme. However, it was said that Sridhar babu cancelled the programme since the ground breaking ceremony was already done by former minister KT Rama Rao during erstwhile BRS rule.
