Nizamabad: After Hyderabad and several other places, posters targeting the son of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar appeared in different parts of Nizamabad on Friday.
The posters read that “Bandi Bageerath is absconding” and surfaced at major junctions and busy roads across the city.
The posters stated that Bandi Bageerath, son of the Union Minister and an accused in a POCSO case, was “missing.” They appealed to the public to inform the nearest police station if they had any information about his whereabouts.
The issue of allegations against the Union Minister’s son has already gone viral on social media and triggered a political row in the State. Opposition leaders are questioning the government’s commitment in ensuring justice for the victim.
The delay in arresting the accused has also drawn criticism. Civil society groups demanded strict action in serious cases such as those registered under the POCSO Act. They asserted that the law must apply equally to everyone, irrespective of political influence or status.
