Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Cybercrime officials on Monday arrested a man for allegedly posting abusive and defamatory content about actress Anasuya Bharadwaj on social media.

The case was registered after the actress filed a complaint stating that since December 23, 2025, several unidentified individuals and social media pages had been posting obscene, abusive and defamatory comments about her on online platforms, damaging her reputation and dignity.

A case was booked and, with technical help, cybercrime officials identified one suspect, D Chanti (30), a resident of Nalgonda district, and arrested him.

Police said Chanti, through his Instagram account, allegedly circulated objectionable electronic content targeting the actress.
