TSUTF urges School Education Dept to halt KGBV staff transfers in Jangaon

Hyderabad: The Telangana State United Teachers’ Federation (TS UTF) on Tuesday urged the School Education department to immediately intervene and stop the proposed intra-district transfers of KGBV employees in Jangaon district.

In a letter to School Education director Dr. E Naveen Nicolas, TS UTF president Chava Ravi and general secretary A Venkat said the Jangaon District Collector initiated intra-district transfers of special officers, PG contract resource teachers (CRTs) and CRTs working in the KGBVs without obtaining necessary permission from the Samagra Shiksha project director.

The staff members are anxious and disturbed due to this sudden and irregular process, they said, adding that as per rules, shifting or transfer of KGBV employees is carried out only after the issuance of general orders by the government. However, no such orders have been issued for the current year so far, they said.

Apart from stopping the proposed transfers, the association sought directions to be issued to authorities concerned to renew the KGBV staff contract services in accordance with the existing guidelines.
