Hyderabad: City Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar and GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan, along with senior officials, on Thursday conducted a field inspection of the Model Corridor development from Shaikpet flyover to Masab Tank.
The team inspected the entire stretch, specifically identifying water-logging points at Shaikpet flyover ramp and Tolichowki and the officials concerned were instructed to remove obstructions on the main road to speed up the Model Corridor works.
Considering the pedestrian safety aspect, it was decided to construct a new FoB at Brindavan Colony Road No 1, install pelican signals and mark zebra crossings at Shaikpet Nala.
During the tour, the officials visited the NMDC area, where there are plans to construct a new FOB at SD Eye Hospital. Also, it is proposed to develop a slip road connecting Pochamma Basti directly to Road No 12, Banjara Hills.
It is also planned to fix drainage leakages at Tolichowki āUā turn and Al-Hasnath Colony, apart from construction of CC Road from Ice Magic Parlour to Brindavan Colony, install a bus shelter at Majestic Function Hall and translocate three trees near Shah Ghouse Hotel.
The officials also felt that reducing the width of the rotary at Nanalnagar junction will help in smoother flow of traffic.
