Sangareddy: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) secured control of Indresham municipality in the Patancheru constituency, winning nine of the 18 wards. The Congress managed to win six wards, while the BJP and an Independent candidate won two and one wards respectively.
With Patancheru MLA Gudem Mahipal Reddy announcing his support to the BRS and set to exercise his ex-officio member vote, the party is all set to form the municipal body.
The BRS has bagged two of the five municipalities in the constituency and is also offering a strong fight in the remaining three municipalities.
