Hyderabad: Students of FLY Holistic Schools organised a Diwali carnival at the institution’s Unnati Campus in Upperpally, raising funds for the education of underprivileged children through the sale of handmade, eco-friendly products.
Organised by the school’s Student Council, the event attracted over 200 visitors, including parents, teachers and community members. Students set up stalls featuring hand-painted diyas, soaps, candles, wall hangings, decorative pots, glass bottles, eco-friendly pens and crochet crafts.
The proceeds from the sales will be donated to Vasudhaikyam Trust, which supports the education of underprivileged children. The initiative also gave students the opportunity to manage stalls, display their handmade products and engage with visitors, encouraging leadership, entrepreneurial skills and community participation among students.
The event was attended by the school’s founders and directors, Chandra Sekhar P and Geetha Chandrasekhar.
