Family waits for 10 days for dead body after migrant worker dies in Dubai

Medak: The family members of a Gulf migrant worker, who died in Dubai, have been waiting for his body for 10 days. The deceased, Chinthakindi Saikiran (35) of Vadiyaram in Chegunta mandal, left for Dubai in May last year. However, he died of a heart attack on May 2, 2026.

Since then, the family members have been trying to bring the body back. They have already filed a request with the State government’s “Pravasi Prajavani” in Hyderabad. His wife, Nagalakshmi, said that they wanted to have a last glimpse of her husband. She said that they also wanted to lay him to rest here.

“Saikiran always desired to return to his homeland while he was alive,” she recalled her conversation with her husband. Since Saikiran’s family was in deep financial trouble, he left for Dubai with the hope of clearing the debts by earning a respectable salary in the Gulf country.

However, his death left the family in deep shock. Nagalakshmi appealed to the State government to make all efforts to bring the body back. The couple is survived by two children.
