Hyderabad: The Gachibowli police raided a gambling den operating at The Sky by Vihara Farm in Vattinagulapally and caught 27 persons. The police seized around Rs 10 lakh in cash.
According to the police, the gambling activity was allegedly being organised by three persons identified as Chinna Yadav of BN Reddy Nagar, Sonu of Suncity and Naveen. The trio had reportedly been running the three-card game for the past four months.
According to preliminary enquiries, transactions at the gambling den were estimated to be around Rs 20 lakh a day. The organisers collected a commission from the participants.
The police seized approximately Rs 10 lakh from those present during the raid. Further investigation is underway.
