Hyderabad: Narsingi police have reportedly arrested six persons for allegedly threatening MLC Mirza Rahmat Baig with morphed photographs and deepfake videos to extort money.
The accused allegedly demanded Rs 5 crore from the MLC and had already collected Rs 5 lakh. Police recovered Rs 4.70 lakh in cash from them during the operation.
Further investigation is under way.
