Spare parts at Pure EV’s manufacturing unit near IITH, Kandi, were destroyed in a fire on Thursday morning. Firefighters brought the blaze under control after several hours, and police registered a case while the cause and extent of losses were being assessed.

Sangareddy: Spare parts of electric two-wheeler manufacturer Pure EV were gutted in a fire accident at its manufacturing unit located close to the Indian Institute of Technology-Hyderabad (IIT-H) at Kandi on Thursday morning.
Flames engulfed the entire unit in no time in the early hours of Thursday. The staff called the fire department, which rushed to the spot with a fire tender. They could douse the fire within a couple of hours of effort.
Meanwhile, the staff salvaged some spare parts while the fire was spreading throughout the unit. The cause of the fire accident has not yet been ascertained while the management was also assessing the loss they suffered. Sangareddy Rural Police registered a case.
