A five-year-old boy was allegedly strangled to death by his father at Shilpinagar in Borabanda, Hyderabad, on Sunday night. The boy’s mother discovered his body on Monday morning after returning from catering work. Borabanda police have launched an investigation.

Hyderabad: A five-year-old boy was allegedly strangled to death by his father at Shilpinagar in Borabanda, on Sunday night.
The boy, identified as Vijay, was reportedly killed by his father, Vidyasagar (36), allegedly under the influence of alcohol around 11 pm.
As per information available, the boy’s mother, Durga, who had gone for catering work, returned home on Monday morning and found her son dead under suspicious circumstances.
She alerted neighbours, following which the incident came to light.
The Borabanda police have taken up investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the boy’s death.
