Hyderabad: Kothur police arrested a woman, identified as Vijayalakshmi, for allegedly murdering her 14-year-old daughter, Suvarna, following an argument over mobile phone usage.
According to police, the mother allegedly strangled her daughter to death and attempted to pass off the incident as a suicide on October 26.
A detailed investigation by Kothur police, based on the autopsy report, led to the alleged murder coming to light.
The accused was produced before a court and remanded in judicial custody on Thursday.
