The 10th anniversary celebrations of Siddipet district formation concluded with cultural and community activities across the town, including rangoli competitions, sapling plantation drives and public gatherings.

Siddipet: The celebrations of Siddipet district formation concluded on a grand note as the citizens and BRS workers celebrated in a colourful way. While the women celebrated the 10th formation day of the district with colourful Rangoli paintings on the premises of their houses in the morning, Former Minister T Harish Rao began the day with an interaction with youth from Siddipet on Komaticheruvu bund.
BRS workers performed Palabhishekham to the portraits of the former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and Harish Rao, crediting them with the creation of Siddipet district. Later, Rao went around Siddipet town and interacted with the women, who painted rangolis on the premises of the houses. Meanwhile, the environmentalists celebrated the day by planting a variety of fruit-bearing saplings on Komaticheruvu tank bund.
Addressing a public meeting organised at Government Degree College in Siddipet on Sunday night, Harish Rao said that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy had brought the struggles undergone during the Congress rule before the formation of Telangana.
Accusing Revanth of failing to supply enough power and lift Godavari waters, Rao said that the farmers of Telangana were suffering due to prevailing drought conditions. While the Andhra Pradesh government lifted Krishna water to far-off places, the former minister said that the Congress government failed to operate the lift pumps to utilise the Krishna water.
He recalled how former Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao built multiple irrigation projects besides increasing the power generation manifold by building multiple power plants. BRS leaders Desapathi Srinivas, V Yadava Reddy, Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, Rasamayi Balakishan,Mutthireddy Yadagiri Reddy, Vadithela Sathish Kumar, Vanteru Prathap Reddy, Farooq Hussain and others were present.
