A newly married woman died after being run over by a bus near D-Mart in Malakpet on Saturday afternoon. She was travelling with her husband on a two-wheeler when she fell onto the road near a traffic signal.

Hyderabad: A newly married woman died after being run over by a bus at Malakpet on Saturday afternoon.
The woman, B Lavanya (25), a resident of L B Nagar, was travelling on a two-wheeler with her husband, B Srikanth (25), when the accident occurred near D-Mart in Malakpet. According to eyewitnesses, the couple had stopped at a traffic signal. When the signal turned green, they started moving, but the man reportedly lost control of the vehicle.
Lavanya slipped off the two-wheeler and fell on the road, coming under the rear wheels of a bus. She sustained fatal injuries and died on the spot.
On receiving information, the police reached the scene and shifted the body to the mortuary for a postmortem examination. Further details about the deceased and the circumstances leading to the accident were awaited.
