GMR Hyderabad Airport wins National Energy Leader Award for eighth year

Hyderabad: GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL) has been conferred the ‘National Energy Leader’ Award for the eighth consecutive year at the 27th edition of the CII National Awards for Excellence in Energy Management 2026.

GHIAL was also recognised as an ‘Excellent Energy Efficient Unit’ for the 10th consecutive year, reaffirming its focus on energy management, efficiency and conservation.


The CII National Awards for Excellence in Energy Management recognise organisations for excellence in energy efficiency, energy management and sustainability. The awards honour organisations that demonstrate measurable progress, innovation and commitment to improving energy performance and adopting sustainable practices.

This year, more than 700 companies from across the country participated in the awards.
