The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) organised the first edition of the Research, Education and Advancement Conclave (REACH 2026) in Hyderabad on Saturday to promote collaboration between academia and industry.

Hyderabad: The Research, Education and Advancement Conclave (REACH 2026), a first-of-its-kind in Telangana that seeks to bridge the gap between industry and academia, was organised by the TGCHE on Saturday.
Launching the conclave, IT Minister D Sridhar Babu said it is an appropriate time to shift the curriculum focus from degree-centric to skill-centric education.
Cyient founder chairman BV Mohan Reddy spoke on the significance of Telangana Rising and its contribution towards Viksit Bharat. TGCHE Chairman Prof. V. Balakista Reddy shared his vision of the future of higher education, and the role of the REACH conclave in creating a convergence between the universities, industry and research organisations in contributing towards a quality education.
A book “Hyderabad: A Hub of Education Research, Innovation, and Cultural Heritage” authored by Prof. Balakista Reddy, was also released.
The conclave featured three panel sessions – Transforming Higher Education for Global Competitiveness and Telangana Rising 2047, Advancing Research Excellence, Collaboration and Innovation for Viksit Bharat and Entrepreneurship and Innovation: From Research to Enterprise.
