Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation’s (GHMC) Standing Committee has approved a single elevated corridor from NFCL junction near Punjagutta to Jubilee Hills Check Post under the Hyderabad City Innovative and Transformative Infrastructure Project (H-CITI).
The Special Chief Secretary of the Metropolitan Area and Urban Development Department, Jayesh Ranjan, who chaired the Standing Committee approved the proposal and directed officials to prepare new designs and cost estimates for the corridor.
GHMC has taken up flyover and underpass works around KBR Park worth Rs 1,090 crore under Package I & II, with completion planned within two years. However, GHMC sources said there was no clarity on the ongoing works around KBR Park under the project, including whether to continue them or shelve them.
A press release on Saturday said the committee also approved the Jubilee Hills–Muffakham Jah College steel flyover, revised plans for the Aramgarh–Zoo Park grade separator, and multi-level flyovers at Owaisi Hospital and Bahadurpura junctions.
